Instead of arguing over who did it first, we should realize that when one brand brings an idea, it forces the market to expand and the user wins. Seeing a bad copy is annoying, but competition helps us. Fanboy wars just give free promo to these corporations.
Android already had this feature. It was called "Android beam."
