Steelers | 10-7
3rd AFC North
I’m liking this new Steelers team with McCarthy. I’ve liked McCarthy through all his stops. At the end of the day, he’s a longtime NFL coach with a Super Bowl ring.
Their defense is undoubtedly great. The defensive line might be the best in the league and the secondary is stacked. Very few concerns with this defense, excited to watch them in action.
For the offense, the question for me isn’t Rodgers. It’s whether they can make him comfortable enough to execute the offense how he wants it executed. That’s what Rodgers wants — plus his receivers to catch the ball haha.
I think the answer to that question is yes, and more consistently than in the past. They still don’t have a better-than-average offensive line, but they’ve improved. I think Rodgers will have his best year since the Packers years and a good conclusion to his great career.
Unfortunately, I think a tougher schedule holds them a game back from getting into the playoffs. I think if they had the Bengals’ schedule, it might flip the two teams. But they don’t.
