Indian citizen living in India.

I submitted an application for, and have received an eVisa for Vietnam. In the application I specified the port of entry to be Hanoi, but due to change in travel plans, I now need to enter from Ho Chi Minh City. Is it okay and allowed to enter via a port different from the one specified in eVisa application?

I see a lot of posts on reddit and other websites where people claim it is indeed okay but I don't see any official source of this claim. Is it indeed allowed or do I need to get a fresh eVisa with the new port specified?

  • If the Vietnam e-Visa was already issued, do not attempt to apply again. If any issue simply explain to immigration officers upon arrival. Commented yesterday
