Between 26–27 September, our incredible ESN Türkiye Project Manager brought together passionate minds to explore how causes turn into meaningful projects. Project and Causes 101 beared speaker from both national board members to international committee guests, talking about varies subjects such as: - Organising events - Using activites.org efficiently - Upcoming SI Days - EU Projects - Leadership and much more. In the end, empowering participants to turn passion into purpose. As the ESN Türkiye National Board, we had the honour of visiting the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, where we discussed our future plans and explored new opportunities to strengthen our partnership. This meeting allowed us to share our vision for upcoming projects and exchange valuable insights on fostering stronger collaboration between ESN Türkiye and the EU Delegation. 🌱 EU Green Week 2025 | İzmir On 16–17 June, as part of the European Union Commission’s largest environmental initiative, EU Green Week, we proudly hosted a partner event in İzmir as ESN Türkiye for the very first time! Over two days, we collaborated with Let’s Do It Türkiye to explore the themes of Circular Economy and Sustainable Fashion, aiming to raise environmental awareness and enhance our young volunteers’ competences in sustainability. As part of our efforts in this field, ESN Türkiye was also awarded a project focusing on environmental sustainability, marking an important step in our long-term commitment to green practices. Day 1 featured interactive workshops on the differences between linear and circular economic models, policy frameworks in Türkiye and the EU, and good practices in waste transformation and sustainable living. On Day 2, we focused on the environmental impact of the fashion industry and circular design approaches — concluding with a hands-on workshop where participants created their own scarves using sustainable threads, embracing the motto “Don’t buy, make your own!” We not only shared knowledge, but also experienced the joy of mindful and creative production. 🇪🇺 Europe Day Celebrations in Ankara On the occasion of Europe Day on 9 May, the EU Delegation to Türkiye Avrupa Birliği Türkiye Delegasyonu invited the President Merve Ceylan and Vice President Efe Berke Akkaya of ESN Türkiye to Ankara to take part in the official celebrations. The event brought together representatives from EU institutions, diplomatic missions to mark the shared values of peace, solidarity, and unity. Earlier this year, ESN 101 took place in Izmir and Istanbul — an initiative designed to introduce new members of the Erasmus Student Network to our values, structure, and impact. Hosted by ESN Bahcesehir (28-29 December) and ESN Yasar (21-22 December), this training brought together passionate volunteers from across the country to learn, collaborate, and begin their ESN journey with purpose. ☺️ The sessions were interactive and insight-driven, helping participants understand both the vision behind our network and the practical tools needed to contribute meaningfully. 💫 Events like this not only equip members with knowledge — they foster a sense of belonging and purpose that fuels long-term commitment. 🌟 As we continue to develop the training culture within ESN Türkiye, our goal with ESN 101 is clear: to ensure that every new volunteer understands the "why" behind what we do — and how their efforts contribute to a broader movement.
