Held alongside the launch of the second edition of the CapitaLand Community Resilience Initiative (CCRI), #CapitaLandHopeFoundation (CHF) co-organised a networking event with Fei Yue and SHINE Children and Youth Services in Singapore focused on: “𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘴𝘪𝘢”. Over 100 attendees across more than 40 strategic and social service agencies came together to exchange perspectives on what it takes to build stronger, more resilient communities.
The programme featured a keynote by Shung Yar Lim, CEO, National Council of Social Service (NCSS) on strengthening ecosystems to better support children and youth in building resilience and achieving long-term well-being in Singapore.
Building on this, grantees from the inaugural CCRI last year (SwaTaleem Foundation, Ho Chi Minh City Child Welfare Association (HCWA) and Beijing Western Sunshine Rural Development Foundation) shared regional perspectives on how community-based ecosystems can strengthen agency, aspirations and holistic support for children and youth, while Dr. Rene Gerard Galera, Jr from UNICEF highlighted the role of strong nutrition systems in supporting children’s development across Asia.
A panel discussion on “𝘋𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘴, 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦: 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘌𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴”, brought together voices from across sectors—Professor Irene Y.H. Ng from the National University of Singapore, Shiyun Lin from 3Pumpkins, Tan Lin Teck from the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), Vaibhav Kumar from SwaTaleem Foundation, Xu Shan from Beijing Normal University China Philanthropy Research Institute, and Lydia Ang from CapitaLand. It highlighted the need for evidence-driven, collaborative approaches that balance meaningful impact measurement with long-term ecosystem building.
Three shared priorities emerged:
💙 Shift from intent to outcomes by adopting evidence-based, outcome-driven interventions with clear validation of impact
💙 Keep measurement purposeful and practical by focusing on actionable metrics discussed alongside partners
💙 Build resilience through ecosystems by strengthening cross-sector collaboration and long-term commitment beyond siloed efforts
Through #CCRI2026, we aim to scale solutions that reflect these learnings—supporting non-profits to deliver outcome-driven programmes and strengthen community ecosystems to shape resilient futures for children and youth across Asia. Find out more: https://bit.ly/ccri2026
