How did you spend the Hari Raya break? The MINDS Me Too! Club celebrated the occasion at MINDS Community Hub (Tampines East) with arts and crafts, interesting quizzes, and a modified version of traditional games such as capteh and five stones. From Concept to Impact: Andy's Journey Empowering the Community 🚀 Andy and his team made a significant impact on the community through the SUSS SEALS x MINDSG Ltd initiative. 🤝 They organised engaging activities like Zumba and art workshops for individuals with diverse needs. For Andy, a Year 2 Public Safety and Security student, making a difference in the lives of others is incredibly important. "Challenges were inevitable," Andy recalls. This project embodies the SUSS RAISE values: Respect, Adaptability, Integrity, Service, and Empathy. 👏 Every single contribution, no matter how small, will add up to something greater. Over five weeks, students from MINDS Fernvale Gardens School and Fernvale Primary School’s Art Club CCA came together to create a special sculpture. This collaboration was part of SG60, symbolising how Singapore’s rich culinary diversity brings people together. Titled "From Our Table to Yours", the artwork was proudly displayed at the Fernvale Family Carnival, where teachers from both schools guided visitors through the creative journey behind the piece. This project fostered teamwork, creativity, and lasting friendships. Thank you to all the students, teachers, and staff who made this possible! #sgminds #specialneeds #intellectualdisability

What is your favourite way to keep active? MINDS MYG recently celebrated its Sports Day at Raffles Institution, with around 400 clients, caregivers, and volunteers in attendance. From bocce to football, there were a variety of sports for all to enjoy. Ms. Siow Huang Gan, the Minister of State for Education and Manpower, also joined in the festivities as our Guest of Honour. In the spirit of social inclusivity, we also announced the launch of Colour Socks Parade (CSP) 2025, our yearly campaign to empower Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWIDs). #sgminds #specialneeds #intellectualdisability

At MINDS, we are committed to fostering inclusive workplaces that empower Persons with Intellectual Disability (PWIDs). Implementing job redesign and providing workplace accommodations are key strategies to integrate PWIDs into our teams. We aim to empower every PWID to participate fully in society. The Open Door Programme (ODP) offers grants to support such initiatives, and we partner with employers who champion inclusive hiring under the School-2-Work programme in our Special Education (SPED) schools. Let's collaborate to create workplaces that value respect, diversity, and shared success. #sgminds #specialneeds #intellectualdisability #inclusivehiring
