At Grand Hyatt Singapore, our purpose of care extends into the heart of our community. In partnership with our Hyatt Singapore Hub and The Standard, Singapore, we recently supported a Food Donation Drive organised by Food from the Heart to help those in need. Our associates came together to donate essential non-perishable food items, from rice to canned goods. Their contributions reflect the spirit of generosity and collective action that defines who we are. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated in this meaningful initiative. Your generosity and spirit of giving truly embody the values we stand for. #GrandHyattSingapore #BeMoreGrand #GoGrand

In light of the recent Ramadan season, we had the pleasure of hosting the elderly from Jamiyah Home For The Aged for a delightful dinner at StraitsKitchen. As part of the hotel experience, we guided them around the hotel showcasing our vibrant gardens within the hotel, before savouring a delicious feast. The evening was filled with warmth, joy and laughter, perfectly capturing the spirit of Ramadan. #GrandHyattSingapore #BeMoreGrand #GoGrand

At Grand Hyatt Singapore, we strongly believe in empowering women. Our theme this year is "Accelerate Action", highlighting the actions taken to empower each individual and its commitment to creating a culture where everyone feels valued. We are excited to introduce our new Instagram series, "Coffee with (Name)", where we sit down for coffee with our female associates to get to know them better through a few questions. Today's special guest feature is Aliyah Hassim, our Assistant Director of Engineering. Aliyah started off as a Project Engineer in 2017, and has since been with the hotel for 7 years. She has a remarkable ability to innovate and inspire, pushing boundaries and overcoming challenges along her way. 1. What's the most unexpected thing you've learned in your career as a woman? Being in a male dominated industry, it is important to be your authentic self in order to thrive. There can be a lot of unspoken expectations for women to conform to certain behaviours or leadership styles, and it can feel isolating. Having open conversations about how to balance authenticity and navigating these environments would empower more women to be themselves and succeed without compromising their values. 2. What would you tell your younger self? Dear younger me, don’t forget to take care of yourself. When I was younger, there was always the pressure and the need to strive for perfection but your health and well-being comes first. Over the years, I have learnt that balance isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. As this series comes to a close, we hope it has inspired women everywhere to continue thriving and pursuing your dreams. Our goal was to highlight the incredible achievements and journeys of our women associates, who have broken barriers and made significant contribution in their fields. #GrandHyattSingapore #GoGrand #BeMoreGrand

We are excited to introduce our new Instagram series, “Coffee with (Name)”, where we sit down for coffee with our female associates to get to know them better through a few questions. Today’s special guest feature is Jimin Choi, a Yoga and Pilates Master Trainer. She conducts a range of classes at Damai House, leading in specialised classes like Vertical Stretch, Vertical Pilates, Yoga Chair etc. Through our conversation, she shared valuable insights and here are some of her thoughts: 1. What’s the most unexpected thing you’ve learned in your career as a woman? I work in a female-dominated industry, and while many women face a glass ceiling in their careers, I’ve found that being a woman in my field is actually a great advantage. The ability to connect, nurture, and lead with empathy has opened many doors for me. Instead of limitations, I’ve discovered strength in embracing my identity as a woman. I am grateful that I met many wonderful female bosses who inspired me to become where I am now. 2. What’s your message for everyone in celebration of International Women’s Day? Women are strong not just because of what we do, but because of how we uplift each other. Let’s celebrate our resilience, embrace our individuality, and create spaces where every woman feels valued. Together, we rise higher. Join Jimin on a wellness journey and discover your true and authentic self through her classes! We are excited to introduce our new Instagram series, “Coffee with (Name)”, where we sit down for coffee with our female associates to get to know them better through a few questions. Today’s special guest feature is Thea Wong, our Director of Wellbeing—one of the first in Hyatt, and a role designed not only for our guests but also our associates and the community. Through our conversation, she shared valuable insights, and here are some of her thoughts: 1. What’s the one thing you wish women talked about more openly? Vulnerability—talking about it isn’t a weakness, it’s a strength. It takes courage to be open and honest about our struggles and emotions. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we create space for other women to do the same. That’s where real connection happens. 2. What would you tell your younger self? You’ll regret the chances you didn’t take far more than the ones you did. So take the leap, embrace the unknown. 3. What’s your message for everyone in celebration of International Women’s Day? As women, we have many versions of ourselves and the potential to grow in countless ways. Take the time to explore and embrace them all. Release tension, improve circulation, and find deep relaxation as you move through the various therapeutic experiences designed by Thea for Damai. At Grand Hyatt Singapore, we strongly believe in empowering women. For this year’s International Women’s Day, the theme is “Accelerate Action” and it highlights the actions taken to empower each individual and its commitment to creating a culture where everyone feels valued. We are excited to introduce our exclusive series, “Coffee with (Name)”, where we sit down for coffee with our female associates to get to know them better through a few questions. Today’s special guest feature is Danica Louiel Garalde, a team leader at Oasis and a talented bartender. We had the pleasure of chatting with her and the below are her answers to some questions we had asked: 1. What’s the one thing you wish women talked about more openly? “The one thing I wished women talked about more openly is the sheer joy of talking about our little wins. It’s such a mood booster when we cheer each other on for our everyday victories, big or small, helping to shift our focus away from negativity to positivity.” 2. What would you tell your younger self? “I would tell my younger self to be patient and enjoy the journey. Growth often takes longer than expected, and it is easy to get frustrated. It is okay to make mistakes, as they’re part of the process. Embrace change and be open to learning from every experience no matter how big or small.” Danica embodies resilience and positivity, and we are excited to celebrate her talents. Join us this Friday at Martini Bar to see Danica in action as a guest bartender, where she’ll be showcasing her signature cocktail in honour of women around the world. #GrandHyattSingapore #BeMoreGrand #GoGrand
