Building the future of Cambodia starts with the students who will lead it. 🇰🇭 We recently hosted the bright minds from the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) at our office to share a look at how we work. Seeing their curiosity first-hand is a reminder of why we open our doors to the next generation. During the visit, the students: - Explored our workplace culture and daily operations. - Sat down with our leaders for a direct Q&A session. - Looked into the future of tech and innovation at Grab. The energy these "Eagles" brought to the office was inspiring. We are proud to support their journey from the classroom to the professional world as they prepare to make their mark. 🦅

Most translation APIs aren’t fast enough for real-time chat, struggling especially hard with Southeast Asian language, that tend to be heavily peppered with dialect and slang. Instead of accepting that friction, our engineers built a lightweight, in-house translation pipeline by: • Performing topic modelling to understand real-world chat content • Creating a quality benchmark by working with localisation specialists • Generating synthetic training data with a larger open-source LLM • Fine-tuning smaller, efficient models suitable for production Being ~99% smaller than other translation models, Grab’s LLMs deliver quality within the context of numbers, symbols, and even emojis, falling back on external APIs only when necessary. The resulting system is one that enables Southeast Asian communication like a native. This is what you get when working with an engineering team that’s willing to rebuild core infrastructure to do it right. Engineer the bridge for millions, join the team: http://ms.spr.ly/6042QxKzO

We’ve invited a very special underwater expert to weigh in… On why seagrass matters more than you might think 🌱 It’s why we’re partnering with NUS Tropical Marine Science Institute and WWF-Singapore to support Singapore’s first large-scale seagrass nursery, unlocking new ways to cultivate and restore these vital marine ecosystems. Healthy seagrass beds don’t just protect our oceans. They feed marine life, store carbon up to 35× faster than rainforests, support species that depend on them to survive, and also protect shorelines from erosion! This is one of the many projects made possible through contributions to Grab’s Green Programme, helping turn collective action into real, on-the-ground (and underwater) impact. But don’t just take it from us. Scroll on to hear it straight from our underwater expert ⬇️ #Grab #Sustainability #MarineConservation #ClimateAction #Seagrass #ProtectOurOceans

Health and wellness are at the heart of how we support our team. 💚 We recently hosted Dr. Seang Pheakna from Orchid Hospital at our Grab Cambodia office for a session focused on women's health. Our team picked up practical tips on everything from nutrition to essential screenings. It was great to see everyone getting involved, including our male Grabbers who joined the conversation to learn how to better support their loved ones. Thank you to Dr. Seang Pheakna for sharing these insights with us. 🌟 #LifeatGrab #WomenatGrab #GrabCambodia

That simple “3 minutes away” ETA on your Grab app? It’s backed by hundreds of thousands of data points gathered every day 💯 Curious how our GrabMaps team makes sense of it all? While our Grab partners are on the move, our AI models are *reading* the streets of Southeast Asia, processing local signs, weather conditions, and traffic patterns to nail your ETA. That means: - 500,000 GPS pings per second from probes around Southeast Asia - 550,000 real-time rain and flood reports daily - Rainfall detection precision at 85-90% accuracy - 80% higher accuracy in matching speed limit signs to designated roads, helping calculate route-specific ETAs more reliably All this adds up to a more reliable ride on the busy roads of our region… Because being on-time shouldn’t be a guessing game 🔮 #Grab #Technology #AI #SoutheastAsia #SmartCities

If this started running in your neighbourhood, would you be first in line to hop on? Through a collaboration with WeRide, Grab is piloting Ai.R, an Autonomously Intelligent Ride service designed to make everyday travel more seamless. It's already running in a real neighbourhood in Singapore. Punggol residents can now ride across two shuttle routes, connecting families to essential amenities and making the daily commute just a little bit easier. Smart sensors and real-time mapping give each AV a full 360 degree view of its surroundings, so it moves the way your neighbourhood does. This is still early days, and a Safety Operator is onboard every ride to make sure the experience is smooth from the very first trip. While we celebrate how far we’ve come, we still have to talk about the millions of women across Southeast Asia who want to work but can’t. Our latest study with UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) and Kantar shows that the barriers to entry go much deeper than just a lack of jobs. At Grab, we believe that every woman ready to take the wheel deserves a platform that actually clears the path for her.  We’ve seen that by prioritising safety features and flexible working hours, these barriers start to break down. It gives women the freedom to define a career on their own terms. There is a way forward.  And we can get there together 💚 #IWD2026 #InternationalWomensMonth #GrabForGood #FutureOfWork #UNGCNS #EconomicInclusion #SouthEastAsia #WomenInLeadership

There are millions of women who could work 28 or more hours a week, yet many are not doing so. International Women’s Month is a timely reminder that gender equality is not just a moral imperative — it is a critical economic driver for growth and resilience. When women are excluded from the workforce, economies lose. So we asked the important questions, starting with: what’s really holding them back? 👇 Conducted in partnership with UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS), Grab and Kantar, our landmark regional study found that safety remains the largest barrier for both prospective and existing driver-partners. When women don’t feel secure, we are leaving billions in untapped potential behind. True gender equality involves eliminating the barriers that prevent women from fully participating in work, earning income, and engaging in life. However, the data reveals a path forward. When issues of safety and flexibility are addressed, these women can support themselves and their families. They can redefine what a career means to them. For many, this journey begins with platform work, which offers the freedom to control their time, income, and future on their own terms. We are committed to supporting every woman who is ready to take the wheel and help fill this gap in our workforce. If you are aiming to create that kind of future, this report is for you. 👇 https://lnkd.in/gRXdW8aj David Fogarty FRICS, PISEP, REnvP Sue Meng CHAN Abigail Wright Aditi Mehrotra Sahni Wan Ling Yeo Cheryl Goh Lawrence Loh Shoon Lim Alejandro Osorio Mary Lau #IWD2026 #WomensMonth #GrabForGood #FutureOfWork #EconomicInclusion #SouthEastAsia #WomenInLeadership #SDG5 #UNGCNS #ForwardFaster

Next stop: Taiwan! We’ve reached an agreement to acquire foodpanda's delivery business in Taiwan, marking our 9th market and first proper footprint outside Southeast Asia 🚀 While our tech was forged in the hustle of Southeast Asia’s busiest streets, we know it’s the local touch that matters most. Whether it’s knowing which "heaty" or "cooling" foods to order based on the weather, or helping local uncles and aunties hit their sales targets with AI, we’re here to be a proper partner to the Taiwanese community. 𝐓𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬: This milestone is a testament to the platform you’ve built. Like Anthony Tan said, 愛拚才會贏 (must strive to win!) 𝐓𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧:We can’t wait to learn from you and grow together 💚

I’m excited to announce that Grab will soon be expanding into Taiwan! We reached an agreement today to acquire foodpanda’s delivery business in Taiwan. This is a big milestone for us - it will mark our entry into our 9th market, and our first full-scale footprint outside Southeast Asia. Taiwan is a natural next step for us. The high density of Taiwanese cities is like the busy streets of Southeast Asia, where we’ve spent years honing our tech. We know these environments, and we believe we will create a great delivery experience there. But it’s not just about this. We also share a deep Asian heritage and understand the same traditions that define Taiwan’s rich food culture. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most, like choosing the right “heating” or “cooling” foods in the right season (or when you have a cold!). Knowing this will help us offer the best choices and personalised recommendations for consumers. This local understanding is the most critical thing to me. It’s how we push ourselves to serve our consumers and partners better than anyone else, in every market we enter. Growing up, my brothers and I sang 愛拚才會贏 (Ai Biah Ka Eh Yiah) all the time. It is a popular Hokkien anthem across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan alike, meaning "Must strive to win". I’ve lived by these words since day 1 of starting Grab. We will bring that same heart to Taiwan. Success starts with the community. We will be there on the ground to meet delivery-partners and merchant-partners, to learn how to serve them better, and localise our AI-enabled products to help them increase earnings and grow sales. Our intention is to be a long-term partner to the Taiwanese community. To all Grabbers, this milestone is yours. You’ve built a platform from Southeast Asia that we are now exporting to the world. I couldn’t be prouder of our team. Thank you. I also want to thank the teams at Delivery Hero and foodpanda Taiwan for making this possible. The closing of this acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. Until the deal closes, Delivery Hero is fully committed to continue operating foodpanda Taiwan as usual. Until then, we will be working hard in the background to get ready for launch, and ensure a smooth transition for all users, partners, and employees 💚 Read more in our press release: https://lnkd.in/gSYN3vbb

When GPS says you’ve arrived but you’re still missing the exact spot, being so near yet so far can be frustrating—especially when you’re in a rush and food’s involved! 💢 That last-mile gap got us wondering: could indoor navigation be the cure for ‘hangry’? 🤔 Behind GrabMaps, our Geo Engineers and MapOps Team push precision in navigation, tackling some of Southeast Asia’s trickiest indoor and last‑metre challenges. 🗺️ Want to build where the bar is higher?
