  • Meet Danial, a Community Relations Officer at ServiceSG Centre Bukit Merah. As part of the ServiceSG team, he helps ensure citizens have easy access to government services, especially those who are less confident with digital services and need face-to-face assistance.     💡 What if you could step into the shoes of a prison officer for a day? Jia Hui from the People's Association experienced just that when she signed up for a unique attachment programme for public officers, offered by the Singapore Prison Service. As a psychology graduate, she seized this opportunity to explore a less familiar aspect of society. The most impactful part? Observing rehabilitation officers. “They are akin to a lighthouse - a figure of light and safety - journeying together with offenders with the aim of successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating them back into society,” Jia Hui shared. This eye-opening experience inspired Jia Hui to find more ways to make a difference in her current role. Now, she's exploring ways to support the families of offenders through her community work. "The attachment programme pointed me in a direction I hadn't considered before," she reflected.
