Rick Snyder

Gateway, Avalon, Ardesta, State of Michigan
Rick Snyder served two terms as Governor of Michigan from 2011-2018. He led an economically depressed bottom 10 state to top-10 status in eight years. Michigan became a national and regional leader in private sector job creation and increases in per capita income. He was responsible for restructuring Detroit, which was critical to enabling its great comeback. Multiple other major economic, educational, infrastructure, cybersecurity and quality of life programs were implemented during tenure.
Rick also founded two $100 million venture capital investment firms – Avalon Investments and Ardesta. Successful exits included Health Media, HandiLab and Esperion.
Snyder previously served as chairman and president of Gateway which was a leading PC company. During his six years working at Gateway, it grew from 600 to 13,000 employees and $600mm to $6 billion in revenue.
His career began at Coopers & Lybrand where he rose to partner in six years where he did tax and mergers and acquisitions services.
He has been actively involved in many non-profits, including service as the first chair of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Ann Arbor Spark.

For over 20 years, Frank has built high-performing global organizations, led change, accelerated growth, and orchestrated commercial transformations. Frank brings a compelling blend of strategic thinking, market-defining insights, unwavering customer loyalty, and leadership to drive operational excellence.
Prior to joining SensCy Frank served as Global EVP of RethinkCare – a leading behavioral and mental health platform supporting neurodiversity in the workplace and at home. Previously, Frank held senior positions in other high-profile companies in the cloud-based integrated HR and Benefits space, including Alight Solutions and Aon Hewitt.

Dave served 26 years with the Michigan State Police (MSP), where he was the commanding officer of the Michigan Cyber Command Center and the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center. Dave retired from the MSP as an enlisted Captain and the Director of Technology.
Dave Kelly has held government leadership positions in cyber command, threat intelligence, digital forensics, cyber response, & Security Operations Centers (SOC). Dave has led teams responsible for the integration, consolidation, & dissemination of cyber data for critical infrastructure defense & emergency preparedness, helped create the State of Michigan’s first Cyber Incident Response Plan, led the Authority to Operate (ATO) security audit program for software deployments, and was a recipient of the National StateScoop Cybersecurity Leadership Award.
Since retiring from the MSP, Dave has served as a VP of Solutions & Strategy and as a Chief Solutions Officer for two major software companies. In these roles, Dave led projects that applied machine learning and Artificial Intelligence to cyber data to empower SOC analysts and threat incident response while informing Zero Trust Architecture.
Dave has been a keynote speaker, expert panelist, and subject matter expert for diverse government audiences and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

David Behen

David Behen is the co-founder and chief strategy officer of SensCy, an Ann Arbor based cybersecurity startup focused on small and medium-sized organizations.
He has held executive leadership roles in the private and public sector for over 20 years. In these roles, he has led award-winning information technology (IT) functions across the enterprise, aligning technology with the company’s business objectives. Behen has been named in the CIO 100 five times, both in the public and private sectors.
He spent five years as the VP/CIO for La-Z-Boy where he led the global IT reinvention and development of the company’s cybersecurity program. Prior to that, he spent over six years as a cabinet member for Governor Rick Snyder as the director of the department of technology, management and budget, and chief information officer for the State of Michigan. There, he led a department that employed 2,800 associates with an annual operating budget of $1.4 billion. Under Behen’s direction, Michigan established itself as the national leader in the IT and cybersecurity arena.
Behen co-founded a software company, InfoReady, and served as a vice president and CIO of its parent company. Behen holds several board and committee positions in professional and technology organizations. He frequently serves as a keynote speaker, expert panelist, and moderator for national and international audiences providing expertise on information technology, cybersecurity, data management and leadership.

Emily Marcinko joins SensCy as the Director, Third-Party Cybersecurity Risk, bringing more than 15 years of experience in commercial operations, strategic planning, account management, and third-party risk management. In her role, Emily leads SensCy’s efforts to help organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture by evaluating, managing, and mitigating risks within their vendor ecosystems. A graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, she is passionate about driving operational excellence and building meaningful relationships that help both organizations and individuals thrive.
Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Emily now resides in Atlanta, GA, with her husband, daughter, and two pups. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, cooking, crafting, and game nights with friends.

Kelsey’s client-facing experience spans a range of industries. Through close collaboration with technical teams, she has built a strong ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, productive conversations. She enjoys partnering with clients, helping them understand their cyberhealth and guiding them toward practical, achievable goals that strengthen their security over time.
Kelsey is based in Chicagoland suburb Plainfield, Illinois, and enjoys spending time with her two dogs.

After working for over five years as a Clinical Scientist in the healthcare technology industry, Sarah decided to make a career change and pursue her passion for cybersecurity. As a Cyber Advocate at SensCy, she uses her technical expertise to help clients improve their cyber hygiene. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Oakland University, as well as a Cybersecurity Professional Certification from the University of Michigan College of Engineering. In her free time, Sarah enjoys playing the guitar, singing, exercising, spending time with her two dogs, and researching the latest cyber threats impacting small businesses.

Antoniette spent the last 12 years teaching high school Chemistry, but decided to pivot to Cybersecurity in order to use her unique skills to help secure data and aid vulnerable populations against threats. Antoniette earned a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity from Purdue Global and currently has a CompTIA Security+ certification as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Technology. In her spare time, she enjoys watching her kids’ sporting events and college football, traveling with her family, and working out.

Thomas Horton
Thomas brings over 14 years of experience in the benefits and technology space, with a focus on developing and managing channel sales partnerships. He has worked with a diverse range of stakeholders, from enterprise employers to startups, helping to drive growth and expand partner networks.
Before joining SensCy, Thomas led the channel strategy at RethinkCare, a leader in behavioral health, where he significantly boosted channel sales revenue and managed the full lifecycle of strategic partnerships, including go-to-market strategy and relationship management. Prior to that, Thomas also held key roles at Benefitfocus, where he led go-to-market strategies and curated digital health solutions. Earlier, at Informed Consulting, Thomas focused on identifying growth opportunities for early-stage companies.
A University of South Carolina graduate, Thomas lives in Charleston, SC, where he enjoys the beach, golf, and travel.

Keith Brinkmann is an experienced sales professional with more than eight years in B2B sales. In his previous roles with Descartes Systems Group and Touchstone Merchandise Group, his responsibilities included developing and maintaining client relationships, presenting complex solutions based on thorough discovery processes, and closing new business. He is passionate about delivering tailored solutions to create mutually beneficial partnerships that foster long-term relationships.
Keith graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on Sales and Marketing. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family: his wife, Danielle, 6-month- old daughter, Charlotte, and Bernese Mountain Dog, Jimmy. He is an avid golfer, lover of all Cincinnati sports, and enjoys spending time on the water or in a good book.

She is a pragmatic and creative marketer who thrives on solving marketing challenges with data-driven insights, a focus on technology, and collaboration with sales teams. With deep skills in producing high-quality content mapped to each stage of the buyer journey, her areas of expertise include marketing strategy, channel marketing, and sales enablement.
Before joining SensCy, Kim held various marketing leadership positions with B2B technology solutions providers, including Panopto, Everstream, and Rocket Fiber. She resides in the Detroit area with her husband, children, and dogs.

She holds a BA in Screen Arts & Culture from the University of Michigan. Prior to SensCy, Melissa worked in the hospitality and e-commerce industries.

Brig. Gen. (Res.) Rami Efrati has served in the Israel Defense Forces for more than twenty-eight years. He commanded numerous prestigious operational and technological positions in Military Intelligence and received the Creative Thinking Award from the Director of Military Intelligence.
With his many years of experience in anti-terrorism and Intelligence technology Mr. Rami Efrati is an expert in Cyber Strategic Methods. He is one of the founding members and former Head the Civilian Division of the Israel National Cyber Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office. In this capacity he raised Israel to a leading position in the civilian aspects of global Cyber Security and brought multi-national companies to open cyber R&D centers in Israel. Mr. Efrati has leveraged the existential cyber threat to Israel into a unique business opportunity encouraging the development of a large cyber ecosystem supporting hundreds of new cyber related startups.
Mr. Efrati is currently involved in international level strategic projects for Cyber Security and innovation focusing on state-of-the-art methods and technologies to identify the key priorities at the right time to make sure governments and companies benefit from Cyber Security. Mr. Efrati is serving the community as Past District Governor of Lions Clubs International in Israel.

Paul is the Chief Security Officer at StockX responsible for Information Security, Data Protection, Physical Security, Trust & Safety. Previously, he helped mature the security program at Rackspace and was later recruited into Yahoo’s security team to help mature the security program, after the data breach which impacted over 3 billion user accounts. Paul was also the Chief Security Officer at Argo Group a global speciality insurance provider with over $5B in assets.
Paul holds an Engineering degree from Texas Tech University and has participated in Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford University. He is also a Advisory Board Member, Angel Investor, San Antonio Business Journal 40-Under-40 & C-Suite Honoree and was featured in Hispanic Executive Magazine. Paul enjoys giving back to the community by speaking at local schools, industry events, and mentoring the next generation of cyber security talent.
Paul enjoys spending time with his family on the beach, playing Fortnite, collecting sneakers, and coaching his sons’ basketball team.

Ravi is the CTO and founder at Normalyze, the leading data security posture management company. Ravi has extensive background in enterprise and cloud security. Before Normalyze, Ravi was the cofounder and chief architect of Netskope, a leading provider of cloud-native solutions to businesses for data protection and defense against threats in the cloud. Prior to Netskope, Ravi was one of the founding engineers of Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW). Prior to his time at Palo Alto Networks, Ravi held engineering roles at Juniper (NASDAQ: JNPR) and Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO).

Larry Whiteside Jr. is a veteran CISO, CSO, CTO, former USAF Officer, and thought leader in the Cybersecurity field. He has 25+ years experience in building and running cybersecurity programs, holding C Level Security executive roles in multiple industries including DoD, Federal Government, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Critical Infrastructure.
He serves as the CISO for RegScale, an organization that is working to shift compliance left and freeing organizations from the paper world of compliance.
Larry is also the Co-Founder, President, and on the Board of Directors at Cyversity, a 501(c)3 non-profit association that is dedicated to increase the number of minorities and women in the cybersecurity career field through providing workforce development that includes skills assessment, training, education, mentorship, and opportunity.
Larry routinely advises several corporate security executives and companies across the cybersecurity industry on how to make Cyber Security a number one objective to their business. He has helped CEOs and board members of private cybersecurity companies achieve their goals in sales, marketing, and customer retention.
Larry routinely speaks in front of large audiences, C Level leadership and the Board of Directors of some of the largest private and public sector organizations in America. A thought leader in the industry with extensive experience presenting at conferences such as the Gartner Security Summit, RSA Conference, and SC World Congress, Larry has been featured in many articles relating to information security and risk management.
Larry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Huston-Tillotson University, an HBCU that is the oldest institution of higher learning in the State of Texas.

Caroline Wong is the Chief Strategy Officer at Cobalt. As CSO, Caroline leads the Security, Community, and Pentest Operation teams at Cobalt. She brings a proven background in communications, cybersecurity, and experience delivering global programs to the role. Caroline’s close and practical information security knowledge stems from her broad experience as a Cigital consultant, a Symantec product manager, and day-to-day leadership roles at eBay and Zynga. Caroline also hosts the Humans of InfoSec podcast, teaches cybersecurity courses on LinkedIn Learning and has authored the popular textbook Security Metrics, A Beginner’s Guide. Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer sciences from UC Berkeley and a certificate in finance and accounting from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Steve Zalewski

Mr. Zalewski is the Founder of S3 Consulting, an executive advisory practice to security companies and VC firms providing guidance and due diligence on product market fit and go to market strategy. In addition, his practice provides fractional CISO and security advisory services to clients to address program design, assessment, due-diligence, and board reporting.
He is the former CISO at Levi Strauss & Co and has held senior security positions at Pacific Gas & Electric and Kaiser Permanente. Earlier in his career, Steve held senior engineering mgmt. roles delivering storage networks, data protection and enterprise operating systems.
His credentials include CISSP, CISM and CRISC security certifications. He was also issued multiple patents in data protection and multi-processor operating system design.
Steve also co-hosts the CISOSeries Defense-in-Depth Podcasts and is a frequent speaker and panel moderator for webinars and industry events.
