We were honored to welcome Sweden’s Minister of Defense, Pål Jonson, to Ovzon this week.   Minister Jonson is playing a vital role in advancing Sweden’s space and defense industry, helping to strengthen national resilience and long‑term security capabilities at a time when dependable communications are more important than ever. The NATO Space Centre of Excellence Conference 2026 has wrapped up in Toulouse yesterday. The Ovzon team is leaving inspired, energized, and more convinced than ever that space is at the very heart of modern defense and that Ovzon has a role to play. Under the theme "From Awareness to Action: Embedding Space in NATO Operations", this year's conference brought together military leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and allied nations to move beyond theory and into real, operational integration of the space domain. Great panels and keynotes on multi-domain integration, interoperability, ISR, secure communications, the need for commercial partnerships, and collective deterrence. Beyond the panels and keynotes, some of the most valuable moments for the Ovzon team came from the frank, forward-looking meetings and discussions with many delegates, exactly what the Alliance needs right now.
