Saab is therefore entering into a strategic cooperation agreement with Nöjdhs Elektronik to explore opportunities, share expertise and deliver on our commitments. Nöjdhs Elektronik specialises in rugged design for use in demanding platforms, has established special competence in the underwater sector and provides solutions for the harshest conditions and environments. Saab is continuing to deliver training solutions and support in a multinational and multi-system environment. The recently performed exercise Cold Response 2026 in Norway and Finland with troops from multiple allied NATO nations is another example of how we enable realism and interoperability across systems and forces. GlobalEye detects and tracks a wide range of targets across land, air and sea — from low-observable threats to fast-moving objects. By combining powerful radar with an advanced sensor suite, it maintains performance even in complex environments with clutter and jamming. Can AI make underwater vehicles more autonomous and effective? Absolutely. We turn advanced technology into real-world capabilities. This approach was evident earlier in March when a team from Saab Underwater Systems demonstrated the Underwater Systems Autonomous Robotics (UWSAR) project at KTH's Marinarium where representatives from Saab, FMV, the Swedish Navy and academia attended. The event showcased how AI can enhance the autonomy and operational effectiveness of underwater vehicles. The focus was on how UWSAR has integrated large language models into the control of an underwater vehicle. By combining sensor input with the local language model, the vehicle could reason and make its own decisions in real-time around its surroundings, even in isolated environments.
