Ocean energy has come a long way in the last 25 years when the International Energy Agency (IEA) Technology Collaboration Platform on Ocean Energy Systems officially started.    What began as a research ambition is now an emerging industry demonstrating real-world performance, longer deployments, and growing confidence in reliability, even in the harshest ocean conditions.    The newly released IEA Ocean Energy Systems Annual Report reflects this progress, highlighting how sustained international collaboration is turning innovation into credible clean energy solutions.    At CorPower Ocean Ocean we see this shift firsthand. Clearer regulatory frameworks, improved access to test sites, and increasing market pull are helping to build the ecosystem needed to scale ocean energy globally.    But the journey has just started. Achieving ambitious targets like 300GW by 2050 will require continued collaboration, creativity, and persistence across the sector.    By sharing knowledge and working together, we can accelerate progress and unlock the full potential of ocean energy in the global energy transition.
