Yes. Quiet LA is a free noise map of Los Angeles County. It estimates outdoor sound from road traffic, trains and aircraft across the county, for the day (7 am to 7 pm), evening (7 to 10 pm) and night (10 pm to 7 am), plus a 24-hour CNEL value. Aircraft are an estimate derived from official airport contours, in the 24 h view only. The levels come from a computer model built on public data, not from microphones: they are modeled estimates, not measurements, and at a single address they are typically about 6 dB off, higher or lower. Open the map to search an address or tap a building, read the guides to road, train and aircraft noise and what the decibel numbers mean, or see noise by area for each city and community, listed alphabetically.
The guides people use most: who to call about a noise complaint, helicopter noise, how loud 45, 55 and 65 dB are, checking the noise at an address and LAX and aircraft noise.
