One-Time Volunteer Opportunities
These events are hands‑on volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups who want to give back to the community through meaningful service. Each event is designed to fit into a short window, making it easy to volunteer even with a busy schedule. All volunteers welcome! Bring your kids. No special skills required—just a willingness to help and work as part of a team.
Pack for a Purpose
Volunteers work together to pack essential items that support local neighbors in need. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, each shift is limited to 30 volunteers due to space constraints at our facility. Our next event is February 19th from 5-7pm.
Curbside Express
Curbside Express is a convenient way for clients to receive groceries. Clients remain in their vehicles while volunteers load prepackaged boxes directly into their cars. Our next Curbside Express event is Saturday, February 21st. We have two shifts available: 8:30am-10:15am and 10:15am-12pm

Volunteer FAQ's
Long-Term Volunteering at Prop
Volunteer FAQ’s
Who can volunteer at PROP?
PROP welcomes all who would like to volunteer. Even kids.
Is there a time commitment to volunteer at PROP?
If you are volunteering for an event, committee or a special project, this would be dependent on the staff. All other roles (food shelf, office, drivers), we prefer a commitment of at least 3 months.
Are there events my family can volunteer at?
Adults and families with children under 14 can volunteer at many PROP events, including our annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in February, the annual Postal Drive in May, and various food drive pop-ups at local groceries around the city.
