ADB and its financing partners pool financial resources, share in the risks involved, and combine knowledge and technical expertise in planning and implementing a development program or project. ADB offers full or partial administration of development assistance and programs cofinanced with partners. ADB Partnerships is a knowledge platform that showcases ADB’s financing partnerships and highlights their successful results among its partners and beneficiaries. We want to create a community who are interested in revitalizing and advancing partnerships for sustainable development. Global Environment Facility

The East Asian Australasian Flyway is one of the world’s most important migratory bird routes, connecting critical wetlands and communities across countries and continents. A new regional project supported by $9 million from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and $107 million in co-financing will establish a Global Flyways Grant Mechanism for Civil Society Organizations, empowering local action for wetland conservation across the flyway. Implemented by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the project aims to conserve and/or restore 9 million hectares of critical wetlands in six countries while directly benefiting 330,000 people. #GEFCouncil71 #GEFassembly2026

With support from ADB and Japan, Cambodia is expanding access to safe water and sanitation across rural communities – especially women. The project has reached over 400,000 people in 10 provinces—bringing clean water closer to home, improving sanitation and hygiene, and helping families stay healthy, in school and at work. Women benefitted from reduced time and physical burdens of water collection, improved health and safety, greater privacy and dignity, and more time for education, income-generating activities, and community participation.
