Definitions
- This invention relates in general to ticketing systems and methods. More particularly, the invention is directed to a system and process for automatically generating rewards with ticket sales for special events, such as at music concerts and live performances, and identifying the rewards recipients at the special events.
- the event attendees would usually visit a website where the tickets for the events are sold and make the purchase online using credit cards. After the tickets are purchased, the event attendees may receive an electronic confirmation of the purchase, such as via email, and may have the option of printing the tickets at home or picking up the tickets at the roll call windows at the venues where the special events are held. Alternatively, the event attendees may also place an order for the tickets via special events ticketing agencies. After payment is received by the ticketing agencies, the tickets would either be sent to the attendees' mailing addresses or picked up at the roll call windows at the venues where the special events are held. In yet another alternative method, the event attendees may purchase the tickets at the venue.

- a mobile application for smart phones and tablets having the same functionality is provided.
- the special events may comprise music concerts, live performances, live concerts for military veterans and the like.
- Special promotional offers and rewards at the event are provided on the website or the mobile application.
- the event attendee/purchaser selects a portal on a system, such as the website or the mobile application that provides the means to place the purchase order for the tickets.
- the system directs the purchaser to portal where the attendee can place an order for the number of tickets desired, input the method of payment and billing address, such as a credit card or a debit card, and select a method of how the tickets will be delivered.
- the rewards associated with the purchase of the tickets are automatically generated.
- the rewards generated may correspond to the number of tickets purchased in a one to one ratio. Thus, for each ticket purchased, a reward is automatically generated. If there are two tickets purchased, then two rewards are automatically generated.
- rewards to purchased tickets ratios may be used, such as one to two, one to three and so forth.
- two rewards may be automatically generated.
- the rewards may be in the form of free tickets to the special events, special donations to the purchaser's charity of choice and the like.
- the system may further provide a means to confirm a reward recipient's identity and qualification to receive the special rewards at the event. For instance, if the recipient of the reward is known, the purchaser may enter certain information into the system. The system will then extracts the data, sends the data to a third-party database to confirm the identity and qualification of the reward recipient, and receives a confirmation of the identity and qualification of the reward recipient from the third-party database. The identity and qualification of the reward recipient is then provided on the reward item.
