No. Open Foundry is a display, not a distribution platform. Fonts can be downloaded on their respective project or GitHub pages.

No. All copyrights remain with the original designers or foundries. We simply showcase their work; we hold no rights over the typefaces featured.

Open Foundry is fully curated, featured fonts are handpicked. What appears on the site is based entirely on our own taste, interest, and design perspective. There is no automated feed and no open submission process. Feel free to reach out, if you think we should feature your font.

Never. We do not accept money, sponsorships, or commissions to feature fonts. No one can pay their way into Open Foundry. The selection is 100% independent.

Yes, but only for display.

We host font files so we can render previews on the site; but we never make those files available for download. All official downloads live on the designer’s or foundry’s own project page.

Please carefully read the licence of the font you are using. Some fonts require attribution, some don’t.

Even when optional, we encourage crediting the designer and foundry. Additionally a shout-out to Open Foundry is always appreciated, but never required.

The easiest ways to support us:

• Use and share the fonts.
• Credit the designers and foundries if possible.
• Tell others about Open Foundry and Dreamtype™.
• If you spot bugs, broken links or mismatched licences, let us know so we can fix them.
