Since 2016, the NVDA Screen Reader Group has been "the go to place" to discuss the NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) screen reader.  The central purpose of this group is discussing how to use NVDA.  This includes configuring NVDA's settings or familiarizing oneself with its modes and commands.  Discussions about which programs are accessible using NVDA, NVDA add-ons, NVDA tutorials and documentation, and configuring synthesizers or Braille displays for use with NVDA are also permitted.

 

We also have a Chat Subgroup, for any topics members wish to discuss and where those discussions remain civil.  That can be social chat, announcements of interest, or pretty much anything.  Generally, though, much of the discussion has been about how one works with a specific program where the focus is on that program's keyboard shortcuts, menus/ribbons, etc., and where these answers would apply whether NVDA, JAWS, Narrator, or any other screen reader were in use.

 

Both the NVDA Screen Reader Group and its Chat Subgroup are independent of NVAccess.
