Last Thursday, May 21, in Montreal, our Founder and Executive Chairman, Mr. Alain Bouchard, received the prestigious International Business Leader of the Year Award from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Canadian business community and to international growth. This distinction recognizes not only an exceptional individual journey but also a remarkable contribution to the growth of a Canadian company that has become one of the world’s leading retailers. For more than 45 years, this ambition has been driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, sustained international expansion and, above all, an unwavering commitment to better serving customers. A vision carried forward every day by thousands of team members around the world. We warmly congratulate Mr. Bouchard on this well-deserved honour and thank him for his inspiring leadership.

Norway continues to lead the way globally in electric vehicle adoption, and today we are reaching the milestone of 1,000 EV chargers in the country. For us, it all started 15 years ago, at a time when EV charging was still in its early days.This milestone reflects how quickly customer needs are evolving in different regions and how we continue to adapt alongside them. Across our network, millions of customers visit our sites every day, with high expectations for speed, reliability, and simplicity. EV charging is now fully part of that experience. Thank you to our teams on the ground who make this possible every day.

Igår hade vi på Circle K den stora glädjen att bjuda några av svenskt näringslivs klokaste röster inom servicebranschen på Makthavarlunch. Extra stort tack till Jämställdhetsminister Nina Larsson för att du lyssnade och diskuterade viktiga samhällsutmaningar kopplade till hot & trakasserier mot personer inom service. För vad händer om vi inte får stopp på utvecklingen och normaliseringen av vad man ”får tåla” om man arbetar inom service? Ett av de vanligaste instegsjobben för unga är inom service och vi som samhälle har inte råd att inte ta hand om detta inflöde av arbetskraft. Låt oss tillsammans hjälpas åt att behålla attraktionskraften av alla de som inleder sin karriärsresa inom service - ett av de viktigaste, roligaste och mest givande yrken man kan ha. Serving our customers and communities is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to give back through meaningful, longstanding relationships with organizations like Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, which supports children who have lost a parent in service to our country.  This week in San Antonio, Military City USA, where service and sacrifice are woven into the fabric of the community, we were honored to welcome PepsiCo's Rolling Remembrance tour at one of our stores. The Rolling Remembrance truck travels across the country to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation, helping provide college scholarships and educational support for Gold Star children. We were especially grateful to hear from Ethan Carbajal, a Children of Fallen Patriots scholarship recipient who now supports other families through his work with the Foundation. Thanks to our team, partners and the community for joining us to shine a light on this important cause.
