The world's most integrated microbiome innovation network covering soil, water, plants, animals and humans. State Secretary Silvio Erkens gave the official starting sign at the Planetarium of ARTIS | Natura Artis Magistra. A meaningful moment, and above all the start of the work that an entire ecosystem is now ready to accelerate. Scientific insights, policy frameworks and business models still don't align well enough. As a result, many innovations reach the market too late, or not at all. And many end users are still unware of what microbiomes can mean for them and the world. That changes now. By bringing all stakeholders into one ecosystem from day one, we identify barriers early, work together on societal challenges, and build the earning power of tomorrow. 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝘂𝘄 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗻𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿 Na een borstkankerbehandeling is herstel meer dan lichamelijk genezen. Voor veel vrouwen is ook borstreconstructie onderdeel van dat traject. Niet alleen medisch, maar ook persoonlijk: het kan helpen om vertrouwen in het eigen lichaam terug te vinden. VivArt-X werkt aan een innovatief biomateriaal dat borstreconstructie met lichaamseigen vetweefsel kan verbeteren. Het materiaal biedt tijdelijk ondersteuning aan vetcellen, zodat gezond nieuw weefsel kan ontstaan. Daarna breekt het vanzelf af. De Eindhovense startup werd opgericht als spin-off van de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven door Dan Jing Wu en Patricia Y.W. Dankers, vanuit jarenlang onderzoek naar biomaterialen. Hun missie: academische kennis vertalen naar medische oplossingen die uiteindelijk bij patiënten terechtkomen. Brabant Startup Fonds ondersteunde VivArt-X in een vroege fase, samen met onder andere BOM (Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij), TU/e Participations BV, Borski Fund en informele investeerders. Daarmee kon het team belangrijke stappen zetten richting validatie van de technologie.
