🎬 Is your organisation ready for the NIS2 Directive? 🛡️ Obviously, we’re not surprised that EV charging has been identified as a critical infrastructure for society. All organisations in EV charging now have certain cybersecurity obligations under the EU’s NIS2 Directive. What does that mean? ✔️ Duty of care – You should carry out a security risk assessment guarantee a continuation of services. ✔️ Duty to report – You are obliged to report severe incidents to the supervising authority within 24 hours and the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). ✔️ Duty of supervision – A supervisory body will look at your organisation’s compliance with the directive. Our Information Security Manager Ali Marvi pitched our EVC-ISAC case on stage to the Innovation Summit audience. During the dinner show, the winners were announced. Congrats to Rijkswaterstaat and FrieslandCampina for winning in our category! 🙌 🤝 Although we didn’t win, many attendees praised GreenFlux and the other members of the EVC-ISAC for their impressive work on promoting cybersecurity in the EV charging chain. 🔋 Better data exchange will benefit smart charging adoption, that’s what we believe. And 12 peers too! 🧠🔌 Last week, 13 EV charging organisations, including us, signed an agreement to improve data exchange to promote smart charging of electric vehicles in the Netherlands. Smart charging ensures that: ➕ Charging takes place at lower electricity prices. ➕ People optimally use their own solar (or other renewable) power. ➕ Electricity demand remains within the contracted capacity at charging stations and parking garages. ➕ Peak demand on the public power grid is reduced to prevent grid congestion. 🙏 Thank you for this great collab! The meeting’s focus aligned well with current regional priorities, especially as the next NATO Summit will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands, on June 24–25. 💡 The panel featured contributions from Anthony Verschaeve, Aldi Kapllani, and Kersty Tonks of the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency), along with a presentation by Michiel Appelman, Senior Solutions Engineer, and Christiaan Smits, Head of Public Policy at Cloudflare.
