We are so excited to announce the project schedule of our thematic area (1): Empowering of educators and institutions in #STEM. Investment in STEM 🧑🔬🔬education is central to Africa’s digital transformation, fostering a skilled workforce and driving local innovation where students are able to solve challenges. From Ghana 🇬🇭 to Cabo Verde 🇨🇻 to Tanzania 🇹🇿 to DRCongo 🇨🇩 to Kenya 🇰🇪 , we are going to be offering 500 low and mid-level educators with practical, hands-on resources and training opportunities, that will help them to develop valuable, real-world subject knowledge 📈📊 and creative problem-solving skills in their students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to progress to post-16 STEM subject qualifications. 🧮 IT’S MATH WEEK 🥳✅ Maths Week is our week-long celebration for math initiatives, programs as well as the week being dedicated to making maths more engaging for kids in the communities we serve. Our Math bootcamp objective, for example, is to help and encourage young learners to pursue maths in the longer term. More often than not, children view maths as a difficult subject and don’t obtain a ‘can-do’ attitude. Today, we have recorded over:- ✨ 225 recipients of our Math Bootcamp for Kids across Kenya 🇰🇪, Ghana 🇬🇭, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Cameroon 🇨🇲 ✨ Computation thinking for 126 Educators in Secondary Scholls and Tertiary Institutions; an initiative sponsored by Oracle between 2020 -2022; ✨ Elsevier Mathematical Science Fund for 70 Secondary School Educators and 30 adolescent girls in 🇬🇭 Ghana (proudly coordinated by Dorcas Attuabea Addo) This week, we will be spotlighting activities and brilliant resources that we have steered in making Mathematics to be more inclusive and positive.
