Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan, bersama barisan Ahli Lembaga Pengarah serta pengurusan tertinggi syarikat, telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat ke atas Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima (DR.) Musa Haji Aman di Istana Seri Kinabalu pada pagi ini. Kunjungan ini merupakan lawatan rasmi pertama oleh SOGDC sejak pelantikan Tun Musa Aman sebagai Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah ke-11. Tujuan kunjungan ini adalah untuk memaklumkan perkembangan terkini dan hala tuju SOGDC, serta memperkenalkan barisan Ahli Lembaga Pengarah dan pengurusan tertinggi syarikat kepada Tuan Yang Terutama. Majlis ringkas ini diakhiri dengan penyampaian cenderahati dan sesi bergambar kenang-kenangan bersama Tuan Yang Terutama Tun. We celebrated the achievements of Sabah’s local vendors in the Oil and Gas Service and Equipment (OGSE) industry together with the Sabah Government, highlighting a significant increase in growth since the event’s inception in 2022.   Rashidah Alias, Vice President of Group Procurement, commemorated 88 vendors, witnessed by State Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun and Senior Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management, Datuk Ir. Bacho Pilong.   The event also highlighted the awarding of key contracts to Sabah vendors for Integrated Well Continuity Services, as well as contracts under the Pan-Malaysia Offshore Maintenance, Construction & Modification (MCM), and Hook-Up & Commissioning (HUC). Alongside this prestigious certification, they have also been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification for their Quality Management System (QMS).   SOGDC is a Chief Minister Incorporated company, owned by the Sabah State Government that focus on the development of downstream oil & gas related activities that aim to increase economic and employment growth in Sabah. Sabah Oil & Gas Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SOGDC) has proudly achieved the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 37001:2016 certification for its Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS), marking a significant milestone in its commitment to quality, governance, and integrity. These certifications further underscore SOGDC's dedication to excellence in managing operations and mitigating bribery risks. The certificate handover ceremony took place at SOGDC's office in Wisma Innoprise. The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Datuk Harun Hj Ismail, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SOGDC, along with Datuk Hj Mohd Shariff Bin Hj Ibrahim, a Board member of SOGDC, and Tuan Teo Thin Hwa from the Ministry of Industrial Development & Entrepreneurship (MIDE). Also present were key department heads and staff from SOGDC. Representing Bureau Veritas (BV) Malaysia, Mr. Saravanan, the Lead Auditor, and Ms. Tamil Selvi, the Commercial Manager, presented the certificates to the organization. “This achievement of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 37001:2016 certifications is critical in reinforcing SOGDC’s quality management systems and its proactive approach to anti-bribery practices. Bureau Veritas Malaysia will conduct annual surveillance audits to ensure that these certifications are maintained and SOGDC continues its pursuit of excellence,” said Datuk Harun. Mr. Saravanan of Bureau Veritas Malaysia expressed his gratitude to all the staff involved, highlighting their unwavering commitment and transparency throughout the audit process. He further noted with pride that SOGDC is the first organization in Sabah to receive certification from Bureau Veristas Malaysia for its Anti-Bribery Management System, setting a significant precedent for corporate governance in the region.
