🎉 Guess what? I’m a GRADUAN® Ambassador 2024 Graduate! 🎉 I successfully graduated as a GRADUAN Ambassador on April 19, 2024. It all started with admiration for my seniors who had their own ambassadorship programs. I was at a peak where I sought something more challenging for myself. Then, I decided to apply for the GRADUAN Ambassador program, never knowing that I would be selected as one of the ambassadors. Throughout this experience, I learned invaluable lessons, especially in engaging with employers during career fairs. A heartfelt thank you to Najihah Nazir for trusting me to be part of this incredible journey. I am also humbled to receive the Team Player Award. This recognition holds a special place in my heart. I am excited to explore more opportunities in the corporate world and see where this path takes me. The Journey to My Internship Applications: Lessons Learned Along the Way (Part 2) Continuing from my earlier post on the long-term strategies that helped me prepare for my internship applications, here's a closer look at how I tackled each application and interview session: 🔍 Attended resume workshops to craft an outstanding resume One of the most valuable tips I came across was from Ayu Shahirah Salem and GRADUAN® . Feel free to check them out for some expert resume advice! 📝 Thoroughly researched each company I made sure to dive deep into their mission, values and work culture to tailor my application and demonstrate a genuine interest in their organization. 🎤 Practiced both technical and situational interview questions I prepared for a wide range of questions to ensure I could handle any situation during the interview. 💭 Reflected on how my projects, values and skills aligned with the roles I was applying for This reflection helped me present myself authentically and confidently during interviews. One of the most impactful things I did was read Think Faster, Talk Smarter by Matt Abrahams. The strategies in this book gave me the tools to stay calm, think quickly and communicate clearly, especially during high-pressure group interviews. I wasn’t just answering questions, I was connecting with interviewers, presenting an authentic version of myself. And Alhamdulillah, it worked! I ended up receiving 10 internship offers from multinational companies (MNCs) and even secured opportunities with overseas institutions, including the one I’m currently interning with here in Singapore. Looking back, I realized that preparation, not just knowledge, were the true key to success. These experiences were about more than just landing an internship. Instead, they were about learning and growing. Every challenge, whether local or international, taught me something invaluable about navigating the professional world.
