We've never called ourselves crypto recruiters.   The label felt too small for where the space was going, even in 2018.   When we started Axiom, people kept trying to put us in a box. Pick a label, crypto recruiter, Web3 recruiter, blockchain recruiter, own it. That's the advice you get when you're building a niche business.   I never bought it.   Crypto was always going to become financial infrastructure. The rails that payments, settlements, and institutional capital eventually run on.   That's why we've always kept one hand in fintech, because I think in ten years the line between the two will disappear entirely.   The companies we work with today that look like crypto businesses will just look like financial services businesses. The ones that survive will be the ones that understood that early.   We built Axiom for that version of the market. I catch myself sometimes getting carried away with the bigger vision of what Axiom Recruit could be. The consultancy, the market intelligence, the talent metrics, and the institutional partner that helps companies build entire people strategies rather than just fill roles. All of it genuinely excites me, and I believe we'll get there. But I have to be honest with myself, and with the team, about what actually keeps the lights on. Placing people into companies. That's the job. That's what we get paid for, and that's what has to work first before any of the bigger ideas mean anything. I think a lot of founders in service businesses fall into this trap. The vision becomes more interesting than the execution. The strategy becomes a reason to avoid the uncomfortable daily reality of going out, winning a client, finding the right candidate, and closing the deal. We're not immune to it. I'm not immune to it. But every time I catch myself drifting too far into the vision, I come back to the same question: did we place someone this week? If the answer is yes, everything else can wait. How do you keep yourself anchored to execution when the bigger vision starts pulling you away?
