For people that want to go Samsung and think Fold 7 is pretty good, but didn't get it due to small issues (such as battery, charing, etc), the Fold 8 Ultra could be a pretty good option. The only trouble is the MSRP is way too high this year, but plenty of deals around to make it much less expensive. Pre-ordered one so let's see how it plays out.

You're only paying for this phone's screen size. S26U is the best overall phone right now, Chinese phones have the best hardware though but with less reliable software.

No S-Pen? No proper periscope camera? Same size as the Fold 7? If they want to call this the Z Fold 8 Ultra, they should've made it bigger and better! Nobody cares if the device is 0.1mm thinner when unfolded, we want REAL upgrades!
Here's they should make a true "Ultra" foldable:
Internal Screen: 8.35" 16:18 1920x2160p
Why? Allows for a single 7.16" 16:9 (FHD+) window OR DUAL 6.365" 16:9 (FHD) windows
External Screen: 6.81" 21.25:9 2550x1080p External screen
Why? It's as tall as the S26 Ultra or iPhone 17 Pro Max and as wide as the standard S26 or iPhone 17/ Pro.
Bring back S-PEN support (at least give us the option of using a basic external S-PEN like on the S21 Ultra)
Give us a proper periscope camera (at least try to match the one on the iPhone 17 Pro)
Bigger battery (5500-6000mah)
UDC camera on the internal display (I'm willing to forgo that but I do still prefer it over a regular hole punch on the internal screen)
You might be wondering, how they're supposed to fit all that in foldable? Make it thicker! I've used the S7 Active, then S21 Ultra, and then S23 Ultra. All with a multi-layer case! I'm already used to thick phones and I'm not expecting an foldable to be any thinner.
I think most people who already used an "Ultra" phone is willing to use an slightly thicker phone (1-2mm thicker when folded) if it means better specs. That's what Google and Motorola got right! Once they done all that, I might consider getting a foldable.

I may or not be right.

Probably gonna get this phone, been a huge foldable phone since i got the fold 4. The fold 8 ultra is probably the best foldable yet, I was also thinking of getting a honor v6 foldable but its not that reliable than the 8 ultra. Hope this foldable doesn't break like the fold 4 after 4 years which is quite alot
