      Its like hifi, 80" machines sounds betrer than novadays craps. And devices like soundbars etc are pure JOKE.

          And it's "up to", with most having a 12 GB base with anti-consumer upgrades tied to storage that cost a fortune, with some also in last generation regionally only available with 12 GB, e.g. the Find X9 Ultra in Europe.
          Not that I really think a smartphone should need more than 12 GB of RAM, but stagnating tech should also get cheaper or at least stagnate in price too. 😄

          Other areas also had far, far more progress 5-20 years ago too. My phone already has three cameras on its back, and with disgusting modern processing/oversharpening/denoising textures to huge blobs of colour/computational and AI nonsense turning photography into AI slop generation, I'd pay honestly more for the "old ones". 🤣 Technically, they also didn't get better, the sensors that are being put in them just got larger. Which has the downside that flagships (especially Chinese) are coming close to being twice as thick. Could have been done 5, 10 and 15 years ago too with the same pros and cons. e.g.:

          Tech progress would be better camera performance in the same format. A bit more "tech progress" and you might as well carry around an RX100 🤷‍♂️

          Screens also didn't get better in every way, as said, ppi. Have no idea why I'd need more brightness. Battery isn't that big a deal, also way less development than one would have expected, had an 8,9 mm thick phone with 5000 mAh in 2014. CPU etc. sure, but even a 5 year old phone still lacks no power. Pretty unimaginable 5-10 years ago.

Nobody had the problem with lack of enhancement, but the problem was the image quality (or in other words - signal to noise ratio) was always bad.

It doesn't take a nuclear physicist to do that. Vivo even made it possible to share user's custom settings. How much more simplicity do you need?

                        Well "people" usually want to have their cake and eat it too, but that's not happening right? Vivo literally set refined profile as the default one on the Fold 6, but gsmarena pooped on them for it and claimed that "vivid is more universally likeable" and even switched to vivid for their testing. Enough said...

                        You're tired of having many settings as that is something inherently bad, which honestly is absurd to me. I've met so many people who have completely different preferences from my own (as the aforementioned gsmarena review proves), so how is one default tuning supposed to satisfy everyone?

                        OEMs usually try to cater to that "average" consumer mindset, but anyone who doesn't have such a shallow view on photography and isn't using the camera purely for social media sharing should appreciate having options.

                        Also "acceptable result"?? The way you put it makes it look like it's a difference between unacceptable and acceptable, while instead it's a difference between good and world class.
