I prefer the size, haptics, camera processing and software of Pixels. Oppo's camera processing is very heavy-handed, Xiaomi's HyperOS is terrible, and Vivo phones don't work with all carriers where I live. That rules out all Chinese phones for me.

Here's my opinion : don't be a blind fanboy of a company. Be a fan of a product. And chinese companies make some good products.
So, is it really wrong to point that out?
Pixels for their price are terrible products. Get an old pixel instead if you really want one.

Not a bad phone, except the above and high price.
If you just want a pixel (no matter what) and don't really care about performance, then I don't see any good reason to get the 11 pro. Just get the 9 pro for like half the price. It looks the same and you can get the 512GB version for €670.

+ UWB support (for Pixel Tag)
+ Magnets for wireless charging
+ No samsung/Chinese bloatware
+ Camera island isn't a kitchen stove design. (Also it doesn't make the phone rock on table)

Exactly what I wanted. Battery life that is on par with competitors. That's a win in my books and I prefer the pixel UI and Camera experience plus design. Waiting to get the 512 GB model and trade in my 9 pro that needs charged by dinner time.

Phone series so bad they have to invent new pros to make it seem appealing : cool and premium design, great colors.
Seriously? How is that a pro? Where was this 'pro' in numerous other phone models?
Faster wireless and wired charging? No one cares. Pixels are known to be the slowest charging devices out there.
Android 17 with pixel smarts? You mean features that would eventually roll out on Samsung devices anyways? The features that are not even accessible outside US?
And let's ignore the obvious cons while we are at it. Tensor chipset is embarrassing, the price, the horrible display quality, lack of LTPO but hey - you get a brighter display. You mean the display so bright you would feel it for all but few seconds before it heats up and dims down?
This is a 4.0 device at best.

Outside of tech YouTubers and fanboys, the Pixel 11s do what 90% smartphones need - yes they are overpriced but with a trade in deal on a pixel 8 pro and £150 discount from Google themselves, I paid £389 for a 512gb 11 Pro.
It is the UI, how it works daily, the snappiness of the software, the general excellence of the cameras and the smaller size in a world of giant phones that appeal to me. And the battery is much better since the new modem from Mediatek is more efficient.
It's an excellent phone but not at £1100. No phone is worth over a grand.

[deleted post]now having said that lol.. wait, first off for the general population that are not gamers/ power users its a great phone just overly priced.. my gripe is the baffling decision with not only the placement of the hi light led but the severely limited use.. had this been on the side of the phone and something that could have been used for texts, custom notifications etc.. this makes so much more sense, ive been wanting a return of led notifications for years but this sh.. makes zero sense.. first a temp sensor now a redundant led.. mind boggling stuff
