We are delighted to welcome People's Bank to LankaPay Government Payment Platform towards facilitating online payments to Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) . People's Bank is the first bank to enable online payments to EDB. Accordingly, both retail and corporate customers of People's Bank can now make online payments to the above government institution, conveniently and securely in real-time via their online banking portal on 24x7x365 basis. People's Bank is already aboard with LankaPay Government Payment Platform facilitating online payments to Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI), Department of Commerce (DOC), Import and Export Control Department (IECD) and Central Depository System (CDS). Our Heartfelt Condolences It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Ravi Molligoda, a distinguished professional and a cherished associate member of the LankaPay family. Mr. Molligoda served as a consultant to LankaPay from its inception and was instrumental in the successful implementation of the Cheque Imaging and Truncation System (CITS) and the Common Electronic Fund Transfer Switch (CEFTS). His extensive knowledge and unwavering dedication greatly contributed to expanding the legal framework for these national payment infrastructure initiatives. He also played a key role in developing user manuals and conducting training programs for the banking fraternity, leaving a lasting impact on the industry. Mr. Molligoda’s legacy is deeply embedded in the evolution of Sri Lanka’s digital financial services landscape. He will be remembered with great respect and affection for his professionalism, integrity, and invaluable contributions. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. May he attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana.
