About the Classes
Our FREE beginner classes will help you learn about computers and Microsoft Windows, word processing and other office programs, the Internet, and social media. Our classes focus on practical skills that will help you use a computer at home, school, or work. These classes are in English.
For adults age 18+ with little or no computer experience.
Free computer! If you attend all four classes, you will receive a free computer system.

Esta clase GRATUITA y presencial, es para ayudarte a aprender a usar una computadora, aplicaciones e internet. Nuestras clases se enfocan en habilidades prácticas que lo ayudarán a usar una computadora en el hogar, la escuela o el trabajo.

Kramden offers two Northstar computer skills courses as well as assessments. The five-week Northstar Basics course teaches fundamental skills and the three-week Northstar Office course covers Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. These courses are designed to help you learn new skills or refresh your existing skills.

Weekly Computer Club
Computer Club gives you a relaxed, personalized way to build your computer experience. It’s made for adults who are working on basic skills. We strongly recommend that you have taken one of our computer courses or similar. Come in for any club day and we’ll create a plan for you including self-guided lessons, practice exercises, and online resources. Plus, you can socialize with and learn from other attendees! (Starting your skills from scratch? Begin with our four-week Computer Basics course, below.)

In partnership with Digital Durham and the City of Durham, Kramden is offering additional options at two other sites. No sign-up required.
