Donate new and used technology equipment
Stop by our office at 5010 NC Hwy 55 in Durham to donate computer equipment. We are only a short drive from Research Triangle Park, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Apex, Cary, Morrisville, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Angier, Willow Springs, Garner, Smithfield and Carrboro. Because we are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your equipment donations are tax-deductible, subject to IRS regulations.
Business Donations
If your business or organization would like to make an equipment donation, please contact us. For large donations of used/surplus computer equipment, Kramden has a loading dock to accommodate pallets and bulk equipment. For donations of approximately 20 computers or more, we will happily come get them locally with our van. Please contact us to discuss options for smaller donations.
Kramden Institute is a proud member of the International Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA). As such, Kramden adheres to the highest ethical and industry standards when it comes to data destruction on donated computers.

What happens to the data on your hard drive?
We take data security seriously. Every hard drive we reuse goes through our software wiping protocol (technical details here). Old, damaged, or unusable hard drives are physically destroyed by one of our R2-certified recycling partners.
You can print and fill out an Equipment Donation Receipt if you need one.
You can fill out an Equipment Donation Receipt before arriving or we can fill one out for you when you arrive.

Donations are accepted during regular business hours. Go to our Reach Us page to look at our hours and location. If you’ve got some time, we are happy to give you a tour of our refurbishing warehouse facilities!
