Since I was a student, I had a strong resistance to creating physical form in design. I realized design isn’t just about form—it’s about expressing something beyond it. That’s where I started incorporating things like light and other elements into my approach.” — Tokujin Yoshioka The latest launch episode of LIXIL’s Facets of Design podcast features host Paul Flowers in conversation with renowned Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka, whose work is defined by a poetic exploration of light, transparency, and immateriality. 103 Million Lives Changed: How LIXIL's SATO Business is Accelerating Global Sanitation and Dignity For most of us, a toilet is an afterthought. But for 3.4 billion people, its absence is a daily threat to safety, health, and dignity. Imagine a mother’s anxiety as she watches her child suffer from a preventable waterborne disease, one of the 1,000 children lost every single day to inadequate sanitation. At LIXIL, we set a goal to reach 100 million people with improved sanitation and hygiene through our SATO social business. We just hit 103 million. This milestone is built on shipping over 10 million SATO units to over 59 countries and territories. It reflects LIXIL’s investment in developing innovative, affordable solutions that serve families as empowered customers, providing them with the dignity of choice. This progress was made possible through collaboration with partners like UNICEF and local entrepreneurs who build resilient ecosystems on the ground. While we take pride in our milestone achievement, we do not view it as a finish line. Instead, it is a humbling reminder of the vast work remaining. Global inequalities persist, and at current rates, the world will miss the SDG 6.2 target by decades. Exceeding 100 million people is a transition point—a proof of concept that market-driven solutions can work. But as long as billions remain underserved, our mission continues. We remain steadfast in our commitment to innovate, working alongside our partners to ensure that "better homes" are not a luxury, but a reality for everyone, everywhere. #SanitationForAll #SDG6 #SocialBusiness #LIXIL #SATO #GlobalHealth

Today we announced Q3 earnings results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. LIXIL CEO Kinya Seto commented, "In the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026, core earnings increased year-on-year despite a marginal decrease in revenue. In our Japan business, sales of renovation products remained robust, leading to higher revenue and core earnings for both our water technology and living businesses. Our housing business also maintained performance on par with the previous year, supported by the expansion of insulation window sales. In international markets, the continued sales recovery in Europe and successful capture of demand in the Middle East and India served as powerful drivers for profit recovery. The business environment continues to face headwinds, including delayed housing market recoveries in major international regions and fluctuations in raw material and component prices. Nevertheless, through our strategies based on the LIXIL Playbook, we are building a more resilient business foundation, starting with the significant recovery in international profitability. Regarding the challenging U.S. market, we will accelerate the optimization of our business portfolio to ensure an early improvement in profitability. We remain committed to creating innovations that positively impact society and the environment, while focusing on the key initiatives outlined in the LIXIL Playbook." Inclusive Work Cultures For Balancing Family and Career Growth: Mariko Fukuda’s Career Journey “LIXIL embodies ‘A Home for Everyone,’ for it is a place where people can work authentically.” Why are we so interested as a company in promoting inclusivity? It’s primarily because it’s so closely tied to how our employees experience work, which in turn greatly impacts the company’s growth 🌱 In this employee story, we meet Mariko Fukuda from our Integrated Marketing department, as she shares with us the various ways in which LIXIL’s ways of working have supported her. She discusses how D&I is an integral part of the work culture, and how this has helped her balance her responsibilities as a parent, as well as finding purpose and feeling pride in her work. Inclusivity is not just a policy or a buzzword, but a practice that is very a natural part of working at the company, and that supports each employee to bring their most authentic selves to work 🌟 Read this story on our website: https://brnw.ch/21wZudA ************************************************************* 家族とキャリア成長の両立を支援するインクルーシブな企業文化:福田真理子さんのキャリアジャーニー 「LIXILは 、まさに『A home for everyone (誰もが自分らしく働ける場所) 』だと心から感じています。」
