Every year, colleagues across the globe come together in person and virtually for Asahi Kasei’s annual “Share the Values” event. This year, employees worldwide participated in the global broadcast, with some offices organizing watch parties to bring teams together to experience the event collectively. The program highlighted real stories and business initiatives from across Asahi Kasei’s diverse sectors, demonstrating how our values shape decisions, collaboration, and innovation. Presentations featured examples from our corporate team, and the Healthcare, Homes, and Material sectors. Together, these stories illustrated how teams around the world are putting our values into practice. Events like these reinforce what makes our global community strong: a shared commitment to purpose, collaboration, and growth. #AsahiKasei #ShareTheValues

🏆 Recognition for the engineers advancing hydrogen technology. Six Asahi Kasei engineers have received the Tanahashi Prize from the Electrochemical Society of Japan for their contributions to the development and long-term operation since March 2020 of a 10 MW alkaline-water electrolysis system. Demonstrated through pilot projects in Namie, Japan, and in Kawasaki, Japan, where a second project was launched in March 2024, the system has proven stable and efficient under real-world conditions—an important step toward large-scale clean hydrogen production. Congratulations to the team for this achievement and for continuing to push the boundaries of electrolysis technology. Recipients of the award (from left): Jun Ohno, Yosuke Uchino, Yasuhiro Fujita, Sanghoon Kim, Keita Suzuki, and Hirokazu Nagate. #Hydrogen #Electrolysis #EnergyTransition

Employees from Thai Asahi Kasei Spandex regularly visit local nursing homes in Thailand to deliver food and daily necessities. Together, they hand items directly to each resident and take time to chat, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As the local population continues to age, we remain committed to making a positive contribution to the senior population and providing ongoing support. For our employees, these visits are also a meaningful opportunity to connect with others, contribute to their community, and reflect on the purpose and impact of their work. #ThaiAsahiKaseiSpandex

♻️ On Global Recycling Day, we’re highlighting a step toward a more circular chemical industry. Asahi Kasei has launched a new recycling initiative with Nippon Steel Corporation and Nippon Steel Trading to convert pure titanium scrap generated during chlor-alkali electrolysis cell production into raw material for new pure titanium production. Titanium is essential for electrolysis cells due to its exceptional corrosion resistance. Maintaining the extremely high purity required for industrial applications, however, makes recycling particularly challenging. Through strict quality control, digital traceability, and advanced remelting technology, this collaboration enables valuable titanium resources to be recovered and returned to the material value chain. By strengthening partnerships across the value chain, we are working toward a more sustainable and circular future for the chlor-alkali industry. #GlobalRecyclingDay #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #Electrolysis

Hydrogen mobility in Northern Europe is taking an important step forward. Asahi Kasei has begun installing its Aqualyzer™-C3 containerized alkaline-water electrolyzer at Finland’s first commercial hydrogen refueling station in Jyväskylä. The project represents the next phase of development for the region’s hydrogen ecosystem. The electrolyzer will be operated by Cefmof Hydrogen and is scheduled to begin operations in summer 2026. Once operational, the system will produce around 400 kg of hydrogen per day, enabling the refueling of approximately three fuel cell vehicles per hour and supporting the expansion of hydrogen-powered transportation. The project will also serve as a case model demonstrating the potential of hydrogen utilization in cold climates. How will hydrogen mobility evolve in Northern Europe in the coming years? Asahi Kasei Pharma announced that it has strengthened its drug discovery pipeline through an exclusive global license agreement regarding novel lead compounds for a single target with Alchemedicine, Inc. a company specializing in the discovery of small molecule drugs. The license agreement was executed on February 3, 2026. In parallel, Asahi Kasei Pharma and Alchemedicine recently announced the advancement of AK1960, a proprietary drug candidate, to a Phase I study. Under the agreement, Asahi Kasei Pharma obtained exclusive worldwide rights to research, develop, manufacture, and commercialize the compounds, which are currently at the preclinical stage. The compounds were identified using Alchemedicine’s drug discovery platform, HiSAP™ and are expected to have therapeutic potential for multiple autoimmune diseases. The specific target indications will be determined by Asahi Kasei Pharma as development progresses. #AsahiKaseiPharma #AKHealthcare

On World Wildlife Day, we are reminded that healthy ecosystems are fundamental to life, livelihoods, and long-term economic stability. At Asahi Kasei, our Inochi no Mori (“Forest of Life”) initiative reflects this understanding. Through ongoing forest restoration and tree-planting efforts, we work to support biodiversity and strengthen native ecosystems in the regions where we operate. Inochi no Mori aligns with our broader sustainability framework, “Care for People, Care for Earth”. This is our commitment to achieving both environmental contributions and sustainable growth. On this World Wildlife Day, we encourage continued collaboration across industries, communities, and organizations to support thriving ecosystems worldwide. #Inochinomori #WorldWildlifeDay
