Microsoft Power Platform は、ローコード開発ツールの集合体であり、ユーザーはこれを利用してカスタムビジネスアプリケーションの構築、ワークフローの自動化、データの分析を行うことができる[1][2]。 また、GitHubとの統合も提供しており、 Microsoft Azure、Microsoft Dynamics 365、 および Microsoft Teamsをはじめとする、Microsoftおよびサードパーティのアプリケーション[3]。Microsoft Power Platform を使用すると、ユーザーはプロセスを効率化し、データから洞察を得て、ビジネスニーズに合わせたカスタムソリューションを構築することができます。技術的な知識のレベルが異なるユーザーでも利用できるよう設計されており、組織がカスタムアプリケーションを作成したり、ワークフローを自動化したりすることを容易にします。マイクロソフトは、Power Fx ローコード プログラミング言語を開発した[4][5]。
プロダクト
[編集]Power Platform 製品群には、以下のものが含まれる[2][6]：
- Power BIは、さまざまなチャート、グラフ、ダッシュボードを通じてデータを可視化するビジネス分析ツール。Tableau[1]や Spotfire や Qlikviewなどのツールを使用して分析を行っている。
- Power Apps：ローコードで構築できるカスタムビジネスアプリケーション。
- Power Automate (旧Microsoft Flow) によるビジネスプロセスの自動化と最適化。
- Copilot Studio （旧称：Power Virtual Agents）は、コパイロット、あるいはAIを活用したチャットボットの体験をカスタマイズまたは構築するためのツールを提供する。
- Power Pagesは、ローコードでWebサイトを作成するためのグラフィカルなソフトウェア。2022年までは「Power Apps Portals」としてPower Appsの一部であった[7]。
Microsoft Dataverse
[編集]Microsoft Dataverse（2020年11月まではMicrosoft Common Data Serviceとして知られていた）は、リレーショナルデータベース エンジン[8]で、Microsoftがクラウド ベースの データ管理 SaaS（Software as a Service）であり、ビジネスデータの保存を目的としています。Dataverseは、MicrosoftのPower Platform、Office 365、およびDynamics 365アプリの基盤となるデータ保存・管理エンジンです。データとアプリケーションを分離することで、管理者は一元的にデータを分析し、レポートを作成することができる。これは、Common Data Modelの原則に基づいており、セキュリティ機能や生産性向上ツールが含まれている。データは Dataverse へインポート、管理、およびエクスポートすることができる。Dataverse は Microsoft Azure 上に構築されている。これは主にデータの管理および保存のためのツールであり、単一のユーザーインターフェースを通じてデータセットの作成と管理を可能する。Dataverseは、Power AppsやMicrosoft Dynamics 365などの他のMicrosoft製品との連携を想定して提供されており、Azure Event HubやAzure Service Busといった他のMicrosoft製品へのデータコネクタを備えている。Microsoft SQL、および Azure Data Lakeなど、他のMicrosoft製品へのデータコネクタを備えている。使用例の一つとして、Dataverseをデータレイクの一形態として、Microsoft Power Appsと組み合わせて利用することが挙げられる。Microsoft Dataverseは、Webhookを介して外部システムと統合し、カスタムデータソリューションを構築したい企業向けに、スタンドアロンサービスとしても提供されている。DataverseにはAPIが用意されており、Power BIやPower AppsなどのPower Platformサービス、あるいはVisual Studioなどで設計されたカスタムサービスなどによって利用できるようになる。リレーショナルデータに加え、DataverseはファイルおよびBLOBストレージ、 データレイク、および半構造化データもサポートしている。Dataverseは、MicrosoftのCommon Data Modelを共通データモデルを基盤としており、物理データも格納されているMicrosoft Azure SQL上に構築されている。Dataverse では、重複チェック、計算フィールド、集計フィールド、および ビジネスルールなどのビジネスロジックを適用することができる。これを使用して、データの発見、検証、およびレポート作成を行うことができ、 また、Microsoft独自の共通データモデルを使用することも可能。MS Dataverse におけるアクセスは、Microsoft Entra IDによって管理されており、これには条件付きアクセスおよび多要素認証 （MFA）をサポートし、個別の列および行レベルのセキュリティを提供する。
