🔔 Important MCA Update for Microsoft CSP Partners & Customers 🔔 (Microsoft Copilot play that shouldn't be missed - read below) Microsoft has announced a major change to the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) process that will take effect in October 2025 — and it’s something all partners need think about and get ready for. 🗓️ What’s Changing? Starting October 7, 2025, only end customers will be allowed to sign the MCA. Partners will no longer be permitted to sign on their behalf — not via Partner Center, API, or the bulk attestation tool. 📌 What You Need to Know: Any MCA signed before April 1, 2023, must be re-signed by the customer to reflect updated terms. After October 2025: ❌ No new license purchases for tenants with outdated MCAs ❌ No renewals for licenses expiring after September 2025 🛠️ What You Can Do Now: Use the bulk attestation tool (while still available) to update legacy MCAs — but treat this as a short-term fix. Begin transitioning to SOPs where customers sign the MCA directly via the Partner Center-generated link. This is a perfect opportunity to present the power and use of Microsoft Copilot, the paid for version or even the FREE version. Customers will need assistance to better understand the MCA and may even have specific questions on it. Guiding them to use Copilot for this doesn't only free up your time but will showcase the power of the tool and potentially open up conversations about what else Copilot can bring to their business.
