🌐 I had the privilege of attending Nutanix .NEXT On Tour India 2025 in Mumbai — and it was more than just an event. It felt like a window into how enterprises are preparing for the next decade of growth powered by cloud, AI, and resilience. Here are some reflections that stood out for me: 🔹 Hybrid Multicloud is no longer a choice — it’s a necessity. Every enterprise today needs flexibility. Workloads must move seamlessly across AWS, Azure, and on-prem, depending on cost, compliance, or performance. Nutanix’s NC2 made this vision real with live demos that showed how vendor lock-in is fast becoming a thing of the past. 🔹 AI has shifted from buzzword to boardroom. Across industries like BFSI, retail, and healthcare, AI is not an experiment anymore. It’s shaping decisions, predicting outcomes, and automating at scale. What struck me is how leaders are treating AI as a strategic business pillar — not just a technology trend. 🔹 Data trust = brand trust. The security sessions were a reminder that in today’s compliance-driven world, a single data breach can wipe out not just financials, but also years of reputation. Enterprises are embedding security and governance at the infrastructure layer, not as an afterthought. 🔹 Sustainability is becoming a growth driver. From carbon-efficient data centers to “green cloud” strategies, sustainability is being woven into core business models. The shift is clear: sustainability isn’t just about doing good — it’s about competing smarter in a future where responsibility is advantage. 🔹 Agility + Resilience = Survival. The most successful enterprises will be those that adapt quickly without compromising reliability. Agility is no longer about speed alone — it’s about building systems that can absorb shocks while still moving forward. 💡 My reflection: What I found most inspiring was the reminder that technology transformation only becomes meaningful when it’s trusted and understood by people — customers, employees, and stakeholders. Flashback to mid-summer 2023: GCCs were placed amidst what we called the 3.0 transition cycle – emerging as centers of innovation and not back-end support office. Today, at the tail end of 2025, GCCs have cemented their position as the front charters of ‘India to the world’ innovation. India already hosts 54% of the world’s GCCs, and is gearing up towards the promise of 2,100 GCCs by FY28. But is it just about GCCs growing? Certainly not! 2025 marked a crucial turning point for this segment, with AI integration becoming a stated reality. GCCs truly went AI native, with 58% moving beyond AI pilots. AI augmentation has reset the larger workforce, especially the functional profiles in this segment. Even better, it has led to a 30% surge in estimated new jobs across GGCs - 1.3 million new roles by 2030, expanding the workforce to a total of 3.46 million. Substantially 11% of this job addition is likely to unfold in 2026 itself. This exponential growth requires an equally aggressive focus on talent. Closing the critical skills gap, especially in emerging AI domains, is now the single biggest strategic mandate for GCC leaders across India. 📢 Google announced today an artificial intelligence (AI) hub in Visakhapatnam, India, enabling Google to deploy its full AI stack with the aim of helping accelerate AI-driven transformation across the country 🇮🇳 . The new AI hub will combine powerful AI infrastructure, data center capacity, new large-scale energy sources and an expanded fiber-optic network, all in one place.
