Our Corporate Vice President and Managing Director, Mohan Rao, joined industry leaders at the Mint GCC Roundtable, presented by Oliver Wyman, in Bengaluru on Saturday, 19 September 2026, to discuss “Future of GCCs: From capability centre to enterprise”. We are proud to announce that Samsung R&D Institute India - Bangalore (SRI-B) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna (IIT Patna) to advance next-generation research across Artificial Intelligence and 5G New Radio networks. Following a R&D Agreement Exchange Ceremony attended by leadership from both institutions, the collaboration marks the successful completion of two joint research initiatives and the formal launch of Project PAIBO, an AI-driven bearer orchestration initiative for 5G New Radio networks. The partnership has already delivered global academic impact, with two joint research papers accepted at IEEE GLOBECOM 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan. Developed in collaboration with SRI-B's Network Control Intelligence Team, the research addresses robust SSB channel estimation and deep reinforcement learning-based call quality enhancement in Open RAN architectures. Building on these milestones, Project PAIBO, led by Principal Investigators Vartika Bhardwaj from SRI-B's Network Modem Team and Prof. Preetam Kumar from IIT Patna, will investigate dynamic, real-time radio-bearer orchestration to enhance network performance, spectral efficiency, and Quality of Experience as networks evolve toward 6G. Meet Aditi Deo, whose passion for pushing limits doesn’t clock out at the end of the workday. In our series “Outside of My Inbox,” we spotlight the passions and pursuits that shape our people beyond their roles. For Aditi, the 5–9 after work is all about movement. What started with sprinting in school has grown into years of strength training, running, HYROX and endurance sports, where every challenge has pushed her a little further. Now, she’s training towards her next big goal, an Ironman. But this journey has been about more than fitness. Training became a way to feel mentally well, stay grounded, and discover what her mind and body are capable of. Through injuries, setbacks and new challenges, one belief has stayed constant, discipline beats motivation, and progress comes from showing up.
