Today marked the final class of the New Enterprise Development (NED) module — a significant milestone in what has been an inspiring journey for our final year Dublin City University Business School students. We were delighted to welcome Dan Ryan, Investor, who shared invaluable insights on pitching to Dragons — from making a strong first impression to clearly communicating value with confidence and impact. This was followed by Eric Clinton, who offered practical and encouraging final advice to teams as they prepare for next week’s DCU Business School Dragons’ Den. His words reinforced the importance of preparation, clarity, and believing in their ideas. After months of dedication — from initial ideation through to fully developed business plans — our students are now ready to step forward and showcase their ventures. Meet the Alumni Council: Mary Larkin Mary Larkin joined the DCU Alumni Office team in June 2018, with responsibility of alumni events, mentorship programme and DCU Voices magazine. In January 2023, she was appointed Alumni Relations Operations Manager.  Mary is responsible for managing the alumni database, leading participation in CASE Alumni Engagement Metrics and coordinating the alumni schedule of activity. She is a graduate of Dundalk Institute of Technology (MBS, 2009 and BBS, 2007), Digital Marketing Institute of Ireland (PGD Digital Marketing, 2015), AdvanceHE Aurora Leadership Programme (2023). Mary has held various roles with the Regional Development Centre Dundalk Institute of Technology, LMETB, Fáilte Ireland, Maynooth University and Dublinked.
