  • In automotive coating processes, consistency isn’t optional—it’s essential. When vacuum levels are precisely controlled, coating quality stays uniform and production remains predictable. But when readings drift, issues like coating defects or fogging can go unnoticed until final assembly, where the cost of correction is much higher. In this video, we share how vacuum gauge calibration plays a quiet but critical role in maintaining process stability on automotive production lines. 👉 Want to see how the same calibration principles support uptime in the medical industry as well? • Burner liners play a critical role in abatement, but traditional designs are fragile, can’t be cleaned, and are often replaced before the end of their life to avoid downtime, which creates unnecessary service demand, waste, and cost. Liner Pro changes that. Built from advanced, more robust materials, it’s reusable, produces less powder build‑up, and features a simplified design that’s easier to clean and refit. With the potential to last up to three times longer, Liner Pro supports greater production continuity and a stronger environmental profile. • Keeping dry pumps healthy is essential for fab reliability, and predictive maintenance is proving to be a powerful way to stay ahead of issues before they impact wafer production. By combining Edwards dry pump technology with our predictive maintenance service, we helped our customers in Europe reduce Corrective Maintenance by around 90% and effectively double their Mean Time Between Service, driven by real‑time insights and proactive intervention. It’s a strong example of how smarter pump monitoring and data‑driven decision‑making can elevate subfab performance while giving teams greater confidence in their operations. • This past week, our team of experts traveled to scenic Denver, Colorado for the annual APS Global Physics Summit. With close to 15,000 attendees, the event united physics professionals from around the world - giving us a great opportunity to showcase our wide range of vacuum solutions for physics and advanced research applications. With our hands-on setup displayed and a booth right next to the dog adoption area, the atmosphere stayed light, engaging, and full of great conversations all week. It was a fun environment to connect, share ideas, and explore how our vacuum solutions support a wide range of research applications. What we showcased at our booth: • Cutaway nEXT85 turbomolecular pump & nXDS15i scroll pump • Live mXDS3s mini scroll pump with P5 gauge • Gamma products: ion pump, HyTan, NEG, and controller • Gauges, controllers, and materials on nXQi and experimental vacuum systems #APSSummit26 #EdwardsVacuum #RandD #VacuumSolutions #Vacuum #PhysicsResearch

  • How do we train the next generation of vacuum professionals? Through hands-on practice! 🚀 Earlier this month, Edwards GV Taiwan participated in the “Vacuum Technology Seminar & Practical Training,” hosted by the Taiwan Vacuum Society (TVS) at 國立中山大學. This program supports graduate students in building a solid foundation in industrial and scientific vacuum technology. Our team led the session on Leak Detection and Sealing, delivering hands‑on demonstrations using our dry scroll pumps and leak detectors. Students assembled systems, ran pump‑downs, and performed leak tests, bringing theory into real-world practice. At Edwards, we remain committed to supporting vacuum science education and empowering the next generation of industry professionals. #EdwardsVacuum #VacuumTechnology #LeakDetection #ScientificVacuum #IndustrialVacuum #Training #TaiwanVacuumSociety

  • Today we introduce the nXQ55i dry Multistage Roots pump. Developed for environments where gas containment is critical, it delivers a leak‑tight performance of <5×10⁻⁸ mbar·l/s and handles light gases such as helium‑3 and helium‑4 with ease. Its dry, dust‑free design keeps processes clean and maintenance low; ideal for helium cryostats (cryogenic systems), helium recirculation and precise leak detection work. • Semiconductor manufacturing is being pushed to new limits and vacuum performance has to evolve with it. 🛠️ Harsher processes ⏳ Longer operating cycles ❗Less tolerance for disruptions Every interruption impacts fab productivity, cost, and output. Maintaining consistent performance over time is one of the industry’s greatest reliability challenges. This is a key driver behind the development of our next-generation dry pump, Ganymede. Engineered to deliver reliable vacuum performance for harsh-duty semiconductor processes.
