【Experience the I&T Journey】Bogotá's Director of Tourism Visits Cyberport Bogotá's Director of Tourism Andrés Santamaría Garrido visited the Cyberport campus earlier to learn about the development of Hong Kong's innovation ecosystem and to promote innovation exchanges between Colombia and Hong Kong.   Mr Henry Li, Head of Ecosystem Development of Cyberport welcomed the Director of the Bogotá Tourism Board and introduced him to the work and mission of Cyberport. 【Cyberport GBA-YEP Programme 2024】Focusing on AI Development Trends, Collaboration in GBA to Lead the Wave of I&T After a series of entrepreneurship training and evaluation activities, the “Cyberport GBA Young Entrepreneurship Programme 2024” (the Programme) has selected eight outstanding teams. Each of them will receive a HK$100,000 seed fund from the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF), along with a six-month mentorship programme and comprehensive support. Upon completion, graduates may apply for the Cyberport Incubation Programme (CIP) to achieve rapid growth and facilitate funding. The Programme has entered its 14th year since its launch in 2011. This year's response was overwhelming, attracting 392 student applications from the GBA. Amongst the applicants, 156 participants have been selected to receive online and offline entrepreneurial training. To align with the rapid development trends of #AI, this year's entrepreneurship boot camp focuses on AI as the core of its curriculum. It covers policy discussions, technological evolution, and business applications across industries, offering participants insights into AI trends. Participants also have the opportunity to interact with industry leaders, exchange entrepreneurial experiences, and visit tech companies to understand the innovation environment of the GBA. The eight winning teams are: Learning In Tech; EchoLens; Project Angel; Xinglin Yuan; Tactile-VisionX; SMAPET; AI Photographing; and EnerLink AIOS. 【GenA.I. Sandbox】Cyberport and HKMA Launch Second Cohort of GenA.I. Sandbox  to Enhance the Safe Application of AI in Finance Cyberport, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), today (April 28) announced the launch of the second cohort of the GenA.I. Sandbox. This initiative aims to provide a risk-controlled environment for the banking industry to develop and test innovative #AI-driven solutions, exploring the potential applications of generative AI (GenA.I.) technologies to enhance risk management, anti-fraud measures, and customer experience. The new cohort will focus on AI risk management and security use cases, and introduce a “GenA.I. Sandbox Collaboratory”, providing a collaborative platform for participating banks and technology partners. Through a series of practical workshops, participants will engage in brainstorming and prototype development, followed by comprehensive testing within the sandbox, thereby expediting the creation of innovative solutions. The first cohort of the GenA.I. Sandbox received enthusiastic feedback from the industry. A total of 15 use cases, from 10 banks and four technology partners have been selected from over 40 proposals received, enabling the financial industry to safely and effectively explore GenA.I. technologies. This also allows the solutions to receive early feedback from financial regulators and compliance agencies, facilitating the development of practical guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
