Our History

The High Park Nature Centre, established in 1999, is a charitable organization that promotes awareness and respect for nature through year-round, hands-on outdoor education and stewardship.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that our enjoyment of nature today is due to the stewardship and caretaking of the land by the Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. A wonderful example of this caretaking is the knowledge and stewardship of the Black Oak Savannah ecosystem which is now globally imperiled.

Our Impact

Each year, thousands of people from the Greater Toronto Area, and beyond join the High Park Nature Centre for our special events, camps, clubs, and workshops. We are proud of our accomplishments and are thrilled to share our annual reports.
