How to save or share files with other apps on your phone or tablet

To export a file on the Dropbox mobile app with your Android phone:

1. Open the Dropbox mobile app.
2. Tap the Files tab.
3. Tap (more options) next to the file you’d like to export.
4. Tap Share. 
5. Tap  (chevron up) beside Link for viewing. 
6. Tap Export.
7. Save the file locally or share the file using other apps:
   • To save the file locally, tap Save to Device, Save image, or Save video, depending on the file type.
   • To share the file using another app, choose the app you’d like to use.

To export a file on the Dropbox mobile app on your iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Dropbox mobile app.
2. Tap Files in the lower-left.
3. Tap (more options) next to the file you’d like to export.
4. Save the file locally or share the file with other apps:
   • To save the file locally, tap Save to device, Save image, or Save video, depending on the file type.
   • To share the file using another app, tap Share, tap(more options), tap Export, then select the app you’d like to use.
