Actionable Strategies to Improve Visitor Experience using Drupal

With so much emphasis on tooling and building, and forever chasing the next feature, it is easy to forget the importance of continually evaluating your existing Drupal site architecture and practices to improve visitor experience. Whether you are in the public sector, higher ed, or tech, this session is designed to help you put visitors at the center of your Drupal website’s narrative to improve the quality of their visit.

This class builds on our experiences helping clients develop successful strategies by auditing their content, architecture, and infrastructure to identify opportunities to improve journeys, conversions, and reliability.

We will cover:
How to catalog your content and identify gaps and opportunities
Understanding UX and planning for Accessibility

Inclusive Digital Design Makes Good Business Sense

Today, it cannot be argued that our lives center on access to digital information, either at our workplace or in our school or in our dealings with government authorities. Most of us could not go through our day without accessing digital communication, no matter if it is on a computer or a smart phone.
Whether you are managing digital portals and offerings for governmental agencies, private sector corporations, educational institutions or community based organizations, you need to incorporate inclusive digital design into all you do. This session will focus on authentic inclusion that addresses those regulations governing accessibility, usability and functionality of digitized communications and information. The session will cover the importance of baking digital inclusion into the development and design phase of digital platforms to ensure barrier free visitor experiences for people who are aging, blind, visually impaired or print disabled.
This session will provide understanding around the requirements for developing successful strategies centered around authentic inclusion and inclusive digital design.
We will cover:
• Regulations, standards and protocols governed by state and federal mandates and WCAG protocols and procedures
• Inform you on the population of peoples impacted by inclusive design
• Discuss risk reduction and ROI
• Establish the reason for why it makes good business sense to be disability ready

I see 9am to 4pm listed, is that accurate? I may like to come and hear about WCAG and state/federal mandated accessibility in particular.

Thanks!
Patrick
