Contributing to Drupal

Hey everyone,

A while back, @benjaminkitya and Mountbatten did a session on getting started with contributing to Drupal.

I remember Reinier, in particular, also pushing this quite hard.

Anyways, at this late juncture in my life, I would like to start contributing to Drupal.

Some of us here have some commits to Drupal core! Wow!

Can we have a session around this topic so newbies like myself can be kickstarted along this noble path?

Anyone interested?

Unfortunately, I cannot attend your user group, but I have presented on contributing to Drupal at a handful of Drupal meetups, so if you are interested in giving my presentation, or writing one of your own, I've put my slides and speaker notes online to make it easier for people to remix/fork/adapt: https://github.com/mparker17/reveal.js-drupal_contributing (slides, speaker notes).

I already like the Youtube videos. Put them on my Watch Later list.

I just perused through your presentation. Wish you had a recording. I am sure you delved much deeper into the points I see on your slides.

My bad! I should have replied. I found them in your repo and I am already using them .. and acting on them.

I am already looking at novice issues wondering how to get my feet wet.
