Hello,
Today I found that there is #drupal-in IRC channel for Drupal India community. Anyone who is using IRC and are regular visitors of #drupal, or #drupal-support can join #drupal-in channel. This will just help to build a better Drupal community in India. Groups is also fine but we can carry out "live" discussions in IRC. Anybody who is new to IRC or willing to join it, here is the starting point.
Actually today I thought of creating a new IRC channel for India but found that its already there.

Thanks a lot for raising this. I too hangout on IRC regularly, and think that #drupal-in is used the least. Infact last year during the planning of DrupalCamp Pune, I talked to the maintainer of the logs of IRC and requested that the chats of our channel to be logged as well; as we wanted to discuss the plans over IRC.
The channel is now logged completely, and saved at : http://druplicon.info/bot/log/drupal-in
The channel could serve as a good tool to bring the different communities together.
