   Thanks for the report @andimik. I can reproduce this issue in Firefox 55 but not in Firefox 52 for Android.

   A short update: Now it works under 56.0a1 (checkboxes can be checked), but the checkbox still has the background color ...

    This has been backed out in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1328474
    And I guess this is partly fixed by https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1352238
