Expected Behavior

I should be able to uncheck the box next to the variable name and have the variable monitor hidden each time.

Actual Behavior

About half the time I uncheck the variable checkbox, it re-checks itself and the variable monitor shows up again.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create an empty Scratch project
2. Create this script:
   
3. Click the green flag
4. Check and uncheck the checkbox next to "my variable" on the left pane
5. Notice how it keeps re-checking itself

System Details

The problem occurs in both the browser and the desktop app, but in the desktop app, it is much less likely to occur.

Operating system: Modified Windows 11 Pro
Browser: Firefox 136.0
Desktop app: Scratch 3.29.1
