Every *tar.* downloaded from:
https://cache.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/4.0/
seems to be every version, server wide.
Download file (Client: Safari), check downloaded name
ruby-3.1.7.tar.gz -> ruby-3.1.7.tar.tar ruby-4.0.1.tar.gz -> ruby-4.0.1.tar.tar ruby-4.0.1.tar.xz -> ruby-4.0.1.tar.tar ruby-4.0.3.tar.gz -> ruby-4.0.3.tar.tar ruby-4.0.5.tar.gz -> ruby-4.0.5.tar.tar
No local script is doing this afaik
No code related
This is a Safari thing, it automatically uncompresses .tar.gz or .tgz files during download.
To deactivate that you can
And then that should work fine.
That problem does not happen on Chrome.
