Dashboard activity feed stuck on June 17 starred-repo events for 2+ days — stale on web and Android despite repo pages being current

My GitHub dashboard activity feed has not updated since Wednesday, June 17. It continues to show the same starred-repo activity and nothing newer.

I checked the individual repo pages directly and they are up to date. The data exists on GitHub; the dashboard feed just isn't pulling it.

This affects both the web dashboard and the Android app, so it's not a client-side caching issue.

What I've already tried:

• Two different browsers
• Cleared cookies and cache
• VPN on and off
• Adblocker on and off
• Dashboard filter settings
• Loading the direct dashboard-feed URL

Since the issue reproduces across two independent clients and multiple networks, and the source data is confirmed current, this looks like a server-side dashboard feed indexing or sync bug affecting my account.

I can reproduce similar behavior. One thing worth checking is whether your account activity feed is stuck rather than the dashboard itself.

A few additional things that may help narrow it down:

Check whether the issue also occurs in an Incognito/Private window while signed in.
Compare your feed with another GitHub account on the same device/network.
Verify whether your public activity appears correctly on your profile but not on the dashboard.
If only your account is affected across both web and mobile, it strongly suggests a backend indexing or activity feed synchronization issue rather than a client-side cache problem.

If GitHub staff can inspect the activity feed generation logs for this account, they may be able to identify where the synchronization is failing.

I can reproduce the same issue on my account as well.

Current behavior:

• https://github.com/ and https://github.com/dashboard-feed both show the same stale top items.
• • The newest top item is mattpocock/skills release v1.0.1, timestamped Jun 18, 2026, 12:07 AM GMT+2.
• • The feed still shows this as "3 days ago" on Jun 20, 2026.
• • The GitHub changelog panel on the right side of the Home page shows newer entries from Jun 19, so GitHub itself is reachable and loading newer data elsewhere.
    I also checked the Feed filters: Repository activity is enabled, and the direct /dashboard-feed URL reproduces the same stale result. This looks server-side/account-side rather than local browser cache.

My Dashboard and Explore Activity stopped updating around June 19, 2026.

with 4 people now independently confirming this(you , @ethras, @Apocalypse2003 , @wei5757 )across web ,android ,and ios,,,this is solidly confirmed as server-side at this point ,,, not worth troubleshooting further on the client side .

worth noting ,,, ive seen a related thread recently about starred-repo release updates specifically disappearing from the homepage feed (separate from this full-feed-stuck issue),,,so the dashboard feed pipeline seems to be having a rough patch generally lately.might be the same underlying indexing system having broader issues rather than two unrelated bugs.

since this is clearly reproducible and affecting multiple accounts simultaneously ,,, a few things that might help move this along :

• check githubstatus.com specificallly for any feed /dashboard related incidents around june 17-19,,, if there's a noted incidentt matching this timeframe,that confirms its a known platform issue rather than something needing individual investigation,
• since multiple people are hitting the exact same stale date(june 17-18 cutoff),,,that consistency is actually useful evidence ,,, it suggests a specific indexing job stopped running or got stuck around that date rather than a gradual degradation.worth mentioning that exact pattern if anyone here ends up filing directly with support.
• in the meantime ,,the most reliable workaround for individual repos you care about is switching to watch + custom notifications(repo → watch dropdown -> custom-> select releases/ issues / etc) rather than relying on the dashboard feed at all,,,,,notifications run through a diffferent pipeline and seem unaffected by this.

         hope github picks this up soon given how many people are clearly hitting it💙💙💙💙 .

Update: GitHub Support has confirmed that this is a known issue affecting multiple users. The problem is currently under investigation, and my report has been added to the existing internal tracking ticket. GitHub is actively working on it and will share updates when available.

The same issue has been plaguing me for a full week now—it’s incredibly frustrating! It is truly hard to believe that a top-tier site like GitHub has such a severe bug that remains unresolved to this day!
